Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesThis is a beautiful hotel that felt more like a home. I was concerned that my room was on the ground floor right next to lobby, but the owner assured me it would be quiet, and he was right. The entire property was peaceful and tranquil. My room -- a double -- was huge and very comfortable. The bathroom was clean (very clean) and modern, with great water pressure in the shower. The owner and entire staff were friendly and extremely helpful, and provided great recommendations for places to eat and visit, as well as how/where to see the whirling dervish sema. He even helped me buy a bus ticket to Goreme. The breakfast was excellent, with a wide selection of fresh fruits, breads, preserves, cheese, vegetables, nuts, yogurt, cereal and more. The location is perfect -- just a short walk to places of interest and restaurants/cafes. Very welcoming and I would stay here again.

AustraliaWhen you first get there it looks rather unwelcoming as the surrounding area is now just waste ground since all the old houses were demolished. But once inside that doesn't matter. And the bed was very very hard.
This is a lovely little hotel very well placed to visit the mosque, museum, and cultural centre and walk to restaurants and the shopping areas. Lovely rooms and beautifully decorated. The family who run the hotel, two brothers, are extremely kind, hospitable and helpful - Mehmet took us to the Cetachuluk site and was very informative. Great breakfast too.

Lovely rooms. Massive double beds! (queen, king, whatever, I'm not sure). Friendly host, who speaks excellent English. Our main reason for visiting Konya was to go to Catalhoyuk, which he arranged for us. Breakfast was excellent, and our host sent us away with a big bag of raisins from his village.

United KingdomThis obviously is beyond the control of the hotel, & it wouldn't stop us from staying at this hotel again. The general area around the hotel has been demolished for future development, so it makes it look a bit rough.
The hotel is family run & is of traditional Ottoman style. The hotel is surrounded by high walls with locked gates giving secure parking if you are driving. The owner who speaks very good English was very helpful & gave us some excellent pointers & advice. The rooms were of a good size with plenty of windows overlooking the gardens. The room had air conditioning at no extra cost, also a TV. No tea or coffee facilities though. The shower was large with the rest of the shower room as you would expect. The breakfast is Turkish style with plenty to eat & drink including filtered coffee. The hotel was very clean & well maintained. It's also in a great position, only a five minutes walk from the Mevlana Museum & a busy tourist area with plenty of restaurants, gift shops & larger hotels. We only stayed for one night on the way to Cappadocia, so didn't have time to explore all of Konya.

United StatesIt's a very nice family run small hotel next to the museum and near several restaurants. The owners are very friendly and attentive and it was a pleasure staying there. We stopped in Konya overnight on the way from Alanya to Cappadocia and saw the whirling dervish show that night and went to several museums the next day.

GermanyThe hotel owner speaks fluent English. He used to travel a lot in different continents and he likes sharing his experience with us and at the same time shows his interest in understanding our history. Though short it was a pleasant conversation with him and makes our stay at Konya a different meaning and memory. The hotel is a nicely decorated old house with taste. The hotel and the room is very clean and makes you feel comfortable. You have to take off your shoes to enter the hotel but it wouldn't bother us at all. Thanks to the hotel owner we were lucky to watch the special event of dervish dance at the Mevlana Museum.

I enjoyed my stay greatly. The Melvin’s Rumi”s rhomb is a short hike and there are large number of shops and restaurants are close by. Breakfast was great, rooms are clean and has a home feeling for me. The lady who takes care of the place is a gem. The receptionist, concierge is courteous and extremely helpful. I had a great experience and recommend a stay. The hotel is in a central area and surrounding is developing.

ItalyYou have to ring the bell every time you want to get in and out of the Hotel, which is somehow annoying. A kettle in the room would have been appreciated. The illumination of the room was weird: all or nothing, there is no little lamp close to the bed so I had to keep the lights on and unless I missed something I had to get up to switch it off which is not really confortable.
The helpful owner and the superb breakfast, probably the best I had in my whole trip in Turkey. Location is excellent, quite close to all the most important things to see in Konya.

United Stateslighting in room was too dim for reading; located in the midst of city-mandated makeover with blocks around razed to the ground thus no convenient stores or restaurants in the immediate area (as of June 2022)
Felt safe as coming and going was through locked gate, super friendly owners/staff and readily provided local information, fabulous healthy breakfast, walkable/located on the perimeter of the busy city center (12 minutes walk) and close to the event center for the weekly dervish dance (8 minutes walk)
