The best thing about the Doruk Palas Hotel is the owner and staff. We arrived really early after a very long flight and they couldn’t have been more accommodating. We were given our room way ahead of check in time, something we were so appreciative of as we were exhausted. The owner recommended beautiful restaurants and organised a spa visit for us. The breakfast was delicious and our room was super clean. The whole team were extremely helpful and friendly during our stay.

The staff at Doruk were exceptional during our stay. All staff were extremely welcoming and treated us and all other guests as family. Our request of being given a room with two single beds were of top priority to the hotel who kindly moved us to accommodate our requirement as soon as the facility became available. The hotel itself is in an excellent location being only a 10 minute walk to the Galata Tower and the nearest tram link. The breakfast offers a large range of different options from cheeses to condiments. I would fully recommend staying here because it would be rare to find the same level of customer service and personalism shown as we experienced here anywhere else. Thank you!

Staying at Doruk Palas Hotel is like staying with family. Ahmet, Muhammed and the rest of the team are so welcoming and went above and beyond to make our stay in Istanbul unforgettable. The hotel is lovely and modern and in a great location for exploring the city, all within walking distance. We stayed in the room with the roof terrace which has the most amazing views. We wished we had booked a longer stay so that we had more time to enjoy the views. Don't spend too long planning an itinerary beforehand, as Ahmet will make great recommendations and make sure you see the real Istanbul. Special shoutout to Mr Osman (the cat) for being the best hotel manager. He makes sure all his guests are greeted at the door and we were lucky enough to be escorted to our room each evening by him. We miss the hotel already and if we return to Istanbul we will definitely choose Doruk Palas. Thanks again for a perfect stay and don't change a thing!

We were a little disappointed to not have the twin beds we had requested on our first night but all was made good the next day. Someone occupying one of the 4 rooms with twin beds had stayed on an extra day. The high level of service offered here made up for this small inconvenience however.

The hospitable service here was remarkable. We were so well looked after in this family run hotel. Being able to have a view looking out over the horn was a big bonus. The breakfasts were absolutely wonderful, and so very fresh. A home away from home is what they deliver at this well managed, friendly hotel.

The rooms were quite small , but having said that we were able to accommodate all of our luggage without any problems. It was spotlessly clean and very functional in its own way !

The location was excellent, with stunning views of the Mosques . The Hotel staff could not have been kinder or more helpful . There was a lovely buffet breakfast with many different items to choose from. This Hotel was also situated in a very quiet street , less than five minutes from the Metro .

Nothing, it is one the best hotels I have stayed in in my life.

This is a beautiful 4 star hotel owner by 2 kind brothers who give a 7 star service. The staff they have employed is as sweet as them they stood outside to wave goodbye to us as we left. We had 3 stops in Istanbul and we stayed here all the time, in our last stop they had no booking available but made it happen because my parents were old and unable to walk. They were so hospitable with teas and coffees and their breakfast spread was just divine - the best hummus, labneh, muhammra I have eaten and I live in the Middle East. Mr. Ahmet and Mr. Mohammad the owners and their staff Mr Hassan and Mr Amir are true gems. It felt like they were our brothers, laughing joking with us and making sure we had transport, food, water and activities figured out. They made sure everyone around them had a smile on their face and in true Turkish style had us have our afternoon coffees with them. They made Istanbul feel like our own homes and we felt sad to leave them. We will return only to stay at Doruk Palas because of the warmth, happiness and humour they shared with us. The kitty cat Mr Osman was an added bonus. I will say this again - for any kind of help anything random also they had a solution. They are extremely accommodating and managed to house us even when they were full because they didn’t want us to be troubled. Extremely professional and one of the best hotels I have stayed in in the world. Even our pick ups and drop offs were so seamless and easy and our coffees were ready to drink when we arrived in the reception. Forget a 4 star this is an 8 star hotel - the 8th star for the love and care they put in from their heart!

After our stay at Doruk Palas, I don't think I can ever stay in another hotel in Istanbul. Location is great - in Pera, just south of Galata tower, which makes it ideal if you like to walk (~30 mins to the main attractions like Agia Sofia, Blue Mosque, etc.). You also have the option of taking public transport - ask the guys at the hotel and they will easily hook you up with whatever you need. Pera is also a neighborhood with plenty of shops and restaurants, just a short walk from the hotel. Breakfast was great, and the coffee is of a high standard (as it should be, in Türkiye). Tip: you don't need to limit yourself to whatever is at the buffet - the staff are always happy to make you eggs, in any form you want. But let's get to the most important part: (Mr.) Osman, the manager, was the highlight of our entire trip. If you're lucky, he will follow you into the elevator and walk you to your room. If you're even luckier, he will stay for a while and take a nap (he's super busy, and can always use some rest). Osman is a cat, btw. I cannot stress enough how amazing the owner(s) and staff of this hotel are. We got to know everyone very well in just a few days, and had a blast talking to them, finding out more about the city, but also about them on a personal level. The ambience they've created in the hotel is one of warmth and a feeling like you belong there, like you're part of a family- so much so, that we even met other hotel guests and even ended up hanging out with them in the city to do tourist stuff! Can't wait to be back to Istanbul and to see Osman again!

If you’re thinking about staying here, do it! Amazing value, super clean and walking distance to Galata/public transports. The staff are a massive credit to this hotel, I truly felt part of the family as soon as I entered. Hassan is a hard worker, he kindly showed me around my room and nothing was ever too much trouble. I made the best decision booking this hotel as a solo traveller, Ahmet was so genuinely caring, going above and beyond to make my both my time in and outside of the hotel comfortable. I will never forget his hospitality and kindness. The breakfast is one of the best I’ve had, fresh variety of mezesand your choice of eggs. This hotel has a community feel and they will do whatever they can to make you happy. I would return to Istanbul just for this hotel😅

Where can I even start… buckle your seat this is going to be a long one but so so worth reading. This is my second visit at Doruk Palace and even though I only stayed one night the hospitality is unmatched at this hotel. The staff gives you a glimpse of the Turkish culture which is so welcoming. Have you ever been in a hotel where you get to chat with the staff as if you knew each other for 10 years ? Well that’s what you should expect from Doruks Palace. If you are planning on visiting Istanbul look no further because this is your hotel; 3 min away from Sishane metro station, 10 min away from Istiklal Street, 10 min away from Galata tower and just at a perfect location and if you are lucky a great view! The staff will make you feel like royalty and in such a genuine way. The rooms are clean, the beds are very comfortable and it’s just an overall amazing experience. It’s the kind place that makes you fall in love with the city even before you actually step into the city and all its attractions. GUYS !! I will be back very soon I cannot wait to see again !
