How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Hotel room was kinda small and cramp.barely had enough room to move about when we unpacked our luggages.
Staff was friendly and polite. Always greets us with a smile . the manager sada was so interactive with the guests, always greeting and asking how is everyone. Breakfast spread was spoilt for choice. The location of the hotel was so conveniently located to all the famous attractions. Everything was like a walking distance for us.

Room sizes were a little small but still comfortable.
I have never seen such a great assemblage of staff in a hotel before who worked together tirelessly to provide a sublime service! Special recognition to the housekeeping alongside Mahsun, Seda and Murat at the front desk for their endless advise, tips and friendly character to make our experience here amazing! Eren was very diligent and helpful in maintening our rooms. Many Thanks!

Everything about the hotel was great, from the extensive breakfast choices to the friendly and attentive hospitality offered by every member of staff. The location is absolutely superb, 5 minute walk to Hagia Sophia, Basilica Cistern and the Blue Mosque among others. There are also literally hundreds of restaurants within walking distance of the hotel, talk about spoiled for choice! I highly recommend Dosso Dossi Sultanahmet old city as the perfect place to base yourself for exploring wonderful Istanbul!

Location was just perfect - main square was 5 minutes to walk. Breakfast was very good. People in the hotel are very nice and helpful. Espeсially grate thanks to Seda Aslan. She and her smile made my morning even better :-) This is what you can for sure - "people make your business".

good breakfast to start a day. the hotel located very close to all old city attractions. room was just nice for our group or people. lobby was well decorated and the most important thing the staff all are very friendly and helpful esp Seda Aslan. the staff at level 1 that did the housekeeping for us also helpful in accommodating our request.

Bathroom with no heating, hotel generally a little ‘tired’ and would benefit from a revamp.

Thank your very much Booking.com for having such property available. All went well according to our expectations. We received what we paid for. We will definitely come back to this property and moreover, will recommend to our friends, colleagues and relatives. Also, in the initial chat via Booking.com, they mentioned that they require Euro 100 cash deposit or Credit card guarantee but when I inquired via chat, they said there's no need. Standart room seems a bit small. You cant stay or seat in the room you have to lie on the bed. No bathrobe at the room. Massage and hamam prices are high a bit comparing other places. Lighting should be developed.
Good hotel located in good location. Old town area and all main places are in walking distance. Staff are helpful kind from reception to restaurant, housekeeping and spa.

The room could have been better decorated and larger. It didn’t seem like a 4-star hotel room: the view was towards other rooms. Of course this makes the room quiet but also a bit dark. There wall also holes in the walls and no wardrobe. The cotbed provided for the baby was flimsy and potentially uncomfortable.
Amazing staff. In particular, Seda and Ozan were very helpful and always at our disposal. The location of the hotel could not be better: 3-5 min walk from the main attractions. Impressive breakfast selection . Confortabile bed and warm room.

I have a suggestion the hotel might like to consider - if there were dispensers in the shower for shampoo, soap, conditioner, and similar for soap and hand creme in the bathroom, this would save on plastic by not using all the little bottles, and reduce waste with half-used bottles being thrown out.
Location was perfect for exploring Sultanahmet and many of the main 'sights' of Istanbul. The breakfast buffet offered a wide selection of sweet and savouries. The bed was very comfortable.
