How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

brilliant hotel with excellent facilities, exemplary service. wonderful staff and manager, whose sole aim is to offer the best possible hospitality to its guests. Breakfast five star and the chefs very experienced and amazing people.

the location wasn’t great, it was super loud outside and the street is really busy down below, even until early hours in the morning which isn’t really the hotels fault but I we hardly slept the whole time we stayed here. it would of been great to get extra toilet roll and toiletries and things as we seemed to run out very fast and they weren’t replaced daily.
the beds are super comfy, staff were very friendly and welcoming, the breakfast was great.

Maybe the bed a bit soft to our taste.
The hotel is very clean and the stuff very friendly and helpful We took the breakfast for 2 days and it was very good. The hotel is perfectly located. The public transportation is reachable in very few minutes (mainly for and from the airport using Izmir metro and izban) The most of the Izmir central area can be reachable even by foot.

There was nothing in this hotel to affect our stay there. However, those who are more sensitive should know that, if you open the window, from time to time there may be a strange smell (like sulfur) coming in from outside. But, if you keep your windows closed, there will no problem.
We stayed three nights in this great hotel and would recommend it to anyone travelling to Izmir. The hotel has a great position, within walking distance to the center (Izmir Clock Tower) and close to the waterfront. The area is quiet, your sleep will not be troubled. Rooms are not large, but they are clean and comfortable. They were cleaned every day. The hotel looks and feels new. Breakfast is good, with sufficient choices for everyone. Staff is great, very nice and helpful. They also understand English and you can manage with them. They also offer the possibility to park your car. We left the key at the reception and they took care to move the car (which, of course, was returned to us in perfect shape).

The menemen at breakfast was soupy. The cab they called for the airport came way too early so we couldn't finish breakfast.
The rainfall shower head was AMAZING. Like being under a waterfall. There is a BIM supermarket just on the corner for water, juice, fruit, etc.

Location is not the best. Hotel is in a small street that doesn't seem too safe at night and that could be intimidating for a woman travelling alone. We took the car everywhere and went out walking during the day only.
Very nice hotel. Breakfast was great. Room was a tiny bit small but super comfortable.
