Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

It is a low-cost hotel not far from Taksim. Good for short stay. The staff was super nice, we arrived very late at night and got free uprgrade.

RussiaIf you have big suit cases it may be a problem to get to the spot by foot even from the nearest metro station. Better to get a taxi. streets are very steap and it took much more time to get to the hotel than google map shows
Clean and neat room with windows. The owner is very hospital and nice. Very quiet and pleasant place. We would like to stay for longer but needed to go. The very famous Istiklal street is very near the hotel.

United KingdomIt’s at the bottom of a massive hill (need to hike up it to get to Taksim). However, there are many taxis driving around nearby, and buses to Fatih and Kadikoy are available without trekking the hill.
Well worth the price, shower is amazing and bed is very comfortable. Arrived at midnight due to flight issues and they didn’t charge us at all, allowed us to change room (from 3rd floor to 2nd) free of charge since my mother struggled with the stairs.

United KingdomGood nice hotel nice rooms for a good stay. The best staff are very friendly and helpful, especially my new friend and the best person in the hotel, Mr.** Emir **, He is a lovely person who helps everyone and is an added value to the hotel. I recommend it to all visitors. The location of the hotel is close to transportation and close to the Taksim area, and the airport bus stop is not far away. Just take a taxi for 80-100 TL. I will come visit him soon. Thank you very much Çok teşekkür ederim

JamaicaNothing, really.
The hotel is centrally located. A short 5 minute walk from Istikal Street so you are close to the all the action but not too close to be disturbed by it. The facilities were clean. The young man who checked me in (forget his name was warm and friendly). The room aesthetician was very simple but enough to make you feel comfy. Great value for money

BrazilEverithing was great, maybe just the stairs, we were on the third and last floor with no elevator.
Our room was very big, spacious, the matress was the best I had in ages, we had air conditioner in our room, that helped a lot, because in Istambul the summer is very hot ! Serkan was always there to help, offering tea and coffee. He also gave us free breakfast. The location was also great, you can catch buses around and the metro taksin is about 10 min walking.

FranceThe hotel has two buildings and we weren’t in the main one so it was kind of weird not knowing that especially that we had to go back and forth to get breakfast and to give the room keys to the manager ( which we found kinda odd but okay) the distance between the hotels is literally 1 minute it’s just that its very steep and i have knee and ankle problems
The staff was super friendly and helpful and the room was very clean, the breakfast was okaay, the room and building were great cute looking but. Really the best thing was how nice the manager was and all the people working there. The main hotel is super cute and its 24/7 open so it’s a nice thing. The staff would help in anyway they can like really they helped me getting my phone back by calling the taxi driver and a friend of theirs.. The location is good there is a shop 24/7 open for necessities and it’s not far from taksim square but it’s all in a hill so you have to be in good shape

SwitzerlandThere were just two things I didn't like: I had to pay for my stay (almost 2 weeks) in cash. The guy at the reception (not Serkan, another staff member) demanded this from me. Unfortunately, I didn't bring enough cash and then had to withdraw more money. It is well known that Turkish ATMs charge a high handling fee. That annoyed me a lot! I think that in the 21st century it should be possible to pay by card in a hotel. During my stay the room was never cleaned. I always had to go and ask for new towels, sheets and toilet paper myself. Apart from that, the stay was very pleasant.
Serkan is an incredibly helpful, nice and friendly person. If you got stuck or had a question, you could always turn to him. No Problem! :-) The room was spacious and clean, the bed very comfortable and the bathroom equipped with everything necessary. The hotel is a bit out of the way, but it is pleasantly quiet in this area. You can quickly get to Istiklal Street. The area around the hotel seems gloomy, but it is very safe. We walked through there every night between 2am and 4am and felt safe at all times. It also has a few supermarkets just around the corner, that was very handy.

SpainThe location was slightly off-center, with a modestly steep uphill climb to the main road, and the room faced a relatively noisy (small) street. Nothing worrisome overall, though, one must walk in Istanbul; it's a hilly place, and the town can be noisy. I would improve the breakfast a bit.
The staff were absolutely amazing. Friendly, courteous, and helpful. The room had a decent size, the bed was comfortable, and the bathroom had everything I needed.

TunisiaThe room was only cleaned once during our one week stay. The area requires a great shape and no kids or luggage to be carried but this is not specifically related to the hotel. Make sure you're prepared for the endless hills and bring your comfiest shoes.
The owner is a very kind person that goes to lengths to help you. He changed our room with no additional fees, offered endless amounts of coffee and tea. We have a tiny stack of candy as well and he once gave us pizza for dinner. His generosity makes you forget about anything else. We believe people can either make or break your stay and he certainly made ours. The room wad spacious with a nice bathroom, washing machine and stove. Breakfast was good as well. Excellent WiFi

Room was nice and cosy with a lot of windows and thus, had good lighting. Staff were kind and helpful. Location was good; just a few minutes walk to Taksim Square and from there, you can go to wherever you want with public transport.

IrelandThere was a strong odour coming from the bathroom and there was mould on the ceiling. The way the curtains are, I felt exposed all the time as there were gaps in them. The breakfast was okay. No one cleaned our rooms for our 6 day duration stay. Wi-Fi was atrocious at the start but owner getting fixed. Slippers are poor quality as they slipped while I barely wore them.
As we walked in the friendly host welcomes us and took our bags. We had a lovely chat and they offered us çai. The room was beautiful and cute and it had a balcony which I love. The bed was SO comfortable. I like that they provided cups and cutlery. The outside of the hotel and inside is very instragramable and the decor is cute. The staff were amazing. They provided iron for us. Location was good. Owner is so attentive and if something is wrong he will fix it.

IrelandThe WiFi wasn't always consistent on the upper floor where we stayed. During peak hours when more guests are using it I had to sit in the lobby for decent signal. There was a strange smell in the bathroom which worsened during our stay. If you're a seasoned traveller it's no issue but if your a moany little wuss then it might be a problem. Some ventilation in the bathroom would easily fix this issue.
The staff were incredibly friendly and made us very welcome. The rooms are modern and stylish and great value for Istanbul. Nothing comes even close to the quality/value compared to other stays on the European side. A short walk from Taksim, another massive advantage to this hotel is that all the food business on the nearby main road are much much cheaper than the ones in the tourist areas. If you eat locally, it's another massive value saver. If you're staying on the European side and this hotel is the cheapest option as it was for me I would highly recommend.

TurkeyWe had some troubles with Wi-Fi connection: it was either very slow or constantly disconnecting (rooms are on the 2nd floor). Also, I expected more from breakfast. It is was too small to be enough so we were going out for additional breakfast after the hotel one.
We had one triple and one double room. Rooms are very clean, large and comfortable, which was very enjoyable. The hotel staff helped us with the luggage. The hotel is on a quiet street a bit away from all the noise (around 10 min walk from Taskim square).
