Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomThis hotel is not the good one in terms of modernism, the building himself was old and no sound isolation, you can ear people from the other rooms. Bathroom with terrible smell we believe is from the water pipe, but nothing that you can not solve it, just closet the bathroom door and put some fresh spray on.
The location is perfect few minuts walking from all the main sigthseeing, we didnt need to use a public transport as all you can make by foot. Also plenty of shops near by for you to buy whatever you need. Also there was a tipical restaurante in the corner that we make it our place to eat dinner. Th staff there was very helpfull and friendly. The bed was confy. We enjoyed ear the morning call prayer from our room. AC in the rooms working perfect. Will defenetly stay there on my next visit and also recommend to family and friends.

BulgariaPerfect location if you want to visit the historical sites in Istanbul. 2 minutes far from tram station which you can use to reach the most important sites, also reach Otogar and Airport by changing to metro in Aksaray station. The service was great, very polite and helpful staff.

IndiaThe hotel building is old and needs renovation. Rooms are very compact without sound proof. We had a baby and were given a second floor room, without lift it was a bit of a hassle to go up and down. Breakfast options are very limited.
The best part of this hotel is its location. It is a very close walkable distance to Hagia Sofia, Blue mosque and palace. Tram stations can also be reached in a few mins. The hotel staff is friendly and arranged for an airport taxi and other things.

United KingdomThat tgere was no fridge in the room, although they were kind enough to let me store food in the kitchen's fridge for free
Both receptionists on both days were extremely kind and supportive. They went above and beyond in supporting me as I had to deal with issues that were not relted to the hotel. They were both kind, helpful, and generous, offering me free tea, fruits, and free calls from their mobiles.

SerbiaIt is in the old centre, Sultanahmet. Very hood location, you can see many things . There is a tram station also, if you want to go to Galata Kulesi and Taksim, but if the weather is good, it is better to go by foot. Breakfast was good, traditional. Everything you need to know, just ask the personel, they will help.

BulgariaThe location was awesome and it was just meters away from the Hagia Sofia, Sultan Ahmet square and the Blue Mosque. Being at the city centre, the hotel was close to bars and restaurants and the very centre of never sleeping Istanbul. The building was historical and the style of rooms' decoration was awesome.

United KingdomI found the room a little small, the bathroom very tiny and and the shower needed a bigger screen to stop water heading to wards the toilet, and there was no view as such.
The hotel is a classic example of old Istanbul, which has been replaced by modern structures, it is handy for the tram system to get about and is not far to walk to the main attractions of Istanbul such as the blue mosque and roman cistern( need to get there early to avoid queues). there is a local shop at the bottom of the street. The breakfast is self service and the staff are very good and helpful.

United KingdomI like to describe it as character but if you need a big fancy bathroom then you would be disappointed. The grouting and sealant work looked like Stevie Wonder did it and I worried the toilet seat might come away at any moment but we were happily there 5 days and the positive points of the place more than made up for these cosmetic negative issues.
The hotel provided a 2-room suite (rare) and considering the perfect central location so close to Topkapi Palace, Basilica Cistern, Hagia Sophia and Blue Mosque it was good value for money. Their breakfast cafe room was always open for free hot drinks during the day and they make the best eggy bread for breakfast. The staff were on hand 24/7 and were all very friendly and helpful. They also own a restaurant of same name a short walk away which was also very good value. We went during a cold spell but the rooms were lovely and warm and shower was powerful with plenty of hot water.
