Room was a bit rundown, like they redid the bathroom but the door frame was in bad shape. The floors throughout the room were very messy and unattractive.

My son and I stayed for 4 nights. The staff was great, very nice and attentive. The hotel didn't quite match the photos on line, a little shabby around the edges. Breakfast was very nice and the location cannot be beat. I would give it an overall 9 out of 10.

Because of central location, can be a little noisy but didn’t affect us - just a note in case you are a light sleeper.

The location is excellent .. walking distance to major landmarks, shopping and transport. Staff were so helpful. Room was spacious and comfortable.

Car access not right in front of the hotel entrance, but that didnt matter cos the staff were more than happy to meet me at dropoff and help with luggage!

The highlight is the location and the incredibly helpful, attentive and friendly staff at Faros - my friend and I both agreed that the front desk staff were one of the best we have had in Turkey! Rooms are small but didnt bother us as we spent the day exploring and were out most of the time!

No problems at all with the hotel. (Although if you're claustrophobic, you won't like the lift!) Location-wise, this is very much tourist central, and prices for food are 3-4 times higher than in some other parts of the city and there's a tendency to rip you off. But the hotel is fantastic.

The friendliest and most helpful staff we've ever met in any hotel. A good location for exploring the sights. Good for transport too. Nice room with a good bathroom, and a little balcony. Comfortable beds.

Cute French Paris Style Hotel in the heart of the city. Close to restaurants shopping and tourist sites.

Location to 5 major tourist must see mosques and palaces. Plus a bery special Water collection system to heat the sultan’s palace. Walk to all of them.

Never had better service from the helpful, friendly staff. It was our second visit and it felt like coming home. Highly recommended and close to many sights. Walking distance.

A little bit lowd especially in the morning with the tram just under your window. The furniture was a bit outdated with such prices I believe they should refurbish the rooms The indoor restaurant has limited tables it gets very crowded sometimes (I think you can use the tables outside, not sure though)

The Location is Superb The staff were amazing and very helpful, they were keen to help us always making sure that we have all we need. They have upgraded us to a family room which was spacious The Hotel is close to everything With staff a location like that I believe I'll be returning to this hotel.

Room size is small specially if you are travelling with a toddler. However if you are spending most of your day outside. It shouldn't be a problem. I think cleanliness could be better. Since its on quite a busy and touristy road. Noise at night could be an issue. So it might be prudent to spend a bit more and get a room on a higher floor. However it still cant guarantee absolute quite. So if you are someone who needs pindrop silence when they sleep. Look elsewhere.

I dont doubt that the location is spectacular. Specially with a kid it enables afternoon naps as most of the locations are closeby. Since the tram station is a minutes walk away its easy to get to other parts of the city. However its very difficult to get here from the airport and prebooking a private pickup and dropoff becomes necessary. If you are more into history and sightseeing this location is best. Might not the best for local food and shopping. Restaurants in the area are not so great as they are all tourist traps and its difficult to find a good one. Google reviews arent really helpful here as too many fake reviews become an issue. The hotel has a pretty good restaurant, though pricey its still got better food than most restaurants in the area. The drinks in the restaurant though are really good. Big shoutout to the staff though. They were always helpful and answered any and every question we might have had. Would highly recommend

My dad would have preferred that our airport drop off and pick up could have collected us right in front the hotel but this was not possible due to the tramline running right outside. The cars could drop and collect 5 mins walk away. We understood the situation and the staff helped us immensely but if you're travelling with elderly folk, this may be an inconvenience.

the location and food were exceptional. Walking distance to everywhere. We ate at the hotel restaurant for breakfast and even had dinner there one of the nights- the kitchen staff is that good! Our room was a corner suite and my mom had a Terrace room. Both were great it just depends what you're preference is. The tram runs constantly so when you book Faros know the prime walkability comes with some street noises.

All the staff were friendly, took pride in their customer service and looked after us. Location is great, breakfast very good and items fresh and menu changed each day. Had a very Parisian vibe and look. Bedrooms a little dated, but comfy bed and good bathroom. Had a great stay.

The only downside would the front rooms are right on the tram line so quite loud until late at night. We asked to be moved to a back room and the staff were extremely accommodating.

The staff were amazing, couldn’t do enough for you. Bed was very comfortable. The restaurant was really lovely too. Perfect location

Great location for restaurants and tourist spots walking distance. The staff were amazing especially when my partner had a medical emergency in the middle of the night. The help from Murat, Ali and Jacob was amazing. Their help and concern eased the stress. We recommend this hotel to anyone going to Old Town, Istanbul. We will be staying again on our way back from Europe to Australia. It will be like going to a home away from home. Look forward to seeing the staff again soon. Carol and Michael 😀💕

All employee was really friendly,they help me with everything what I need,so all the best for that. Location was really good,we have all attractions near the hotel,with walk few meters. Breakfast was also great,so for me staying there was the best decision. Keep that care of your guest.☺️
