Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

BulgariaOk, so now for the cons… This hotel is 20 years old, so everything is worn and breaks time to time. They gave my the room of the 5th floor, that’s the last floor, right under the roof. And I’ve asked for either 2nd or 4th floor in my booking request. But I was told that this was the only available. So, the ceiling if my room was angled, which is not too comfortable to more around, banging your head against it. The AC was on a waist level, too, because of the angled ceiling. And as you know, cool air goes down. So, because the Sun is scratching hot in Marmaris in July, my ceiling (the roof!) became hot very quickly, but the AC was only cooling the area below the waist. imagine the struggle! 🥵 The wardrobe door was broken, so in just stayed separately inside the wardrobe. the electrical door lock was no working, so I had to use the metal key. The shower had only the faucet to wash your feet and a top-mounted shower head. No flexible shower head to reach your, well, hard to reach places. No shampoo or shower gel, too. I had 2 sets of towels and 2 sets of bed sheets and pillows, so I’ve used the “DND sign” for 3 for 3 days, so the cleaning ladies don’t waste their time on cleaning the clean. But when I removed the sign, nobody started to clean my room, so it stayed dirty until the checkout. On day one, the sheets and towels were “clean”, thus washed, but they had old permanent stains. The breakfast is extremely simple — omelette or fried eggs, no meat, some cheese, some weird ham, 2 types of cake, some jam selection, muesli, milk, tea or coffee, unripe melon and watermelon. Water is just a filtered tap water. Wifi is only available from the lobby area, there’s no Wifi in the room! There’s a laundry price list in the room. When I gave my used clothes for cleaning, asking for Express wash (same day), it took them 24 hours to clean and the price was double that of the price list.
I want to be fair, so first of all, I was traveling on a tight budget, so this hotel promised to deliver maximum for the almost minimal price in Marmaris (around $500 for 7 nights, in July 2022). For this price I got a room with private bathroom an 2 single beds (which i moved together, as i was living there alone), a balcony with mountain view with 2 simple chairs and a table, breakfast was included and a open air pool was available for everyone. this hotel is located like 30 mins walk from the seaside and all the tourist traps, but it is located right next to the Carrefour and a wholesale alcohol store. I went there with a car, that’s why I chose this remote location, and the parking was always available around the hotel, but the truth is — there’s a huge parking problem in Marmaris — it is next to impossible to park a car anywhere 3 blocks closer to the seaside. So the car was useless to get around Marmaris. I wanted to have lunch and dinner at the restaurant, but the nearest one is 20 mins walking and there’s no AC and its 40° outside, so I ended up ordering food to the room from the menu, and it was good: Cheeseburger, fried chicken, salads. Very nice, and the price is the same or lower than downtown. The pool area is nice, cosy and clean. This hotel has its own beach, and the bus is going 3 times a day there and back. The staff was smiling and polite.

United KingdomFood served wasn't labelled at all. So didn't know what we was eating. Also wasn't mentioned if it contains nuts or halal ect. Drinks cups/ glasses were small Shower cubicle was small so if your tall or a bit wide you will struggle getting in an out. Fridge in room was small No spa facilities at all No shop or service to buy snacks at the pool or newspaper ect. But shop close by helped. Not close to the beach at all.
Reception staff were really helpful. Night and day. Angela and her co workers always smiling and trying their best to make you feel welcome. They provided me a prayer room 24 hours because of my religion. There wasn't enough space in my room to pray. Always cold water available to fill up. Always tea available too Food was value for money buffet Always. Very clean and open spaces. Plenty of outdoor places to chill. Pool shuts at 6pm always warm and clean. Music is always on. Close to supermarket great for snacks and ice cream. Air con in room was great. Always hot water and good shower pressure. Quite most of the time at night Hotel was value for money Very very very clean Has two working lifts. Shuttle by runs from 10am till 4pm to the sister hotel which is on the beach. That hotel is definitely an excellent upgrade wish we stayed there tbh. Its a palace on top of the beach. Its your dream hotel.

United Kingdomone thing i didn’t like about the property that really put me off. when i got there early hours i asked the night staff if i could have the key for the safe in my room. it was my first time travelling to another country i was on my own i wanted to make sure my passport and valuables were safe while i left the apartment. The man told me it was £10 per night for the key to my safe in my room. for a little old safe that was an absolute joke of a price i can rent a car out for £11 a day and i can’t help but think he was just trying to take advantage of me because i am young on my own and British. i also triple checked with google translate even though he spoke english to make sure he’d not confused it with per week or a deposit or something. he was very sure it was £10 per night in english money. i didn’t stay another night after this.
i liked the day time staff they seemed very friendly and helpful with what i needed, place was clean and tidy everything worked ok good value for money

United KingdomOur first night we changed room 3 times. No AC, room was dirty, unclean, filthy smelt of cigarette badly.. Bathroom wasnt what was shown on the photos. Its was very old, outdated, shower cubicle was tiny and smelt badly. NO INTERNET AT ALL IN ANY ROOMS!!!!! NO GYM/TURKISH HAMAMAM etc available in thr basement all closed off with loose hanging electric cables. Bathroom water smelt badly and gave us diarrhoea. Following day checked into another 2 rooms, still not A/C. . They DONT have a PRIVATE beach. NO SHUTTLE service was available in our duration of stay. We had to pay for a taxi to take you to a beach where they recommended to their sister 5* hotel (GRAND PREMIUM FAROS BEACH HOTEL). Which is 30mins away and we paid 120TL. Its not a private beach, its accessible to everyone and the public. Stayed for a week, breakfast was very badic, not enough choices, front outside area and pool side people smoking and badly and it was coming in between the reception/foyer area. Every person stayed kept pn complaining about severe issues. No customer service skills, staff dont speak English, no internet, bathrooms felt like a prison. Swimming pool was the on decent thing, with balcony views of the mountain. 5 mins away from marmaris beach, and blue port shopping centre. Theire was a poisonous spider huge spider in another room, and the hotel failed to accommodate change the rooms of another couple. Even when they tried changing the rooms, there was things either broken or not working, ie the TV, fridge or no hot water. Pool side was dirty, sunbeds not cleaned, floor area dirty and cigareette butts sverywhere and ashtrays on the floor. Reception/foyer area the sitting sofas and couched were dirty and old, we had rashes every time we sat, ONLY TO USE the INTERNET. It was a disgusting experience, with the management very rude and unprofessional. They take a cut and commision when you book a taxi from rececption.
Liked absolutely nothing, filthy, disgusting hotel. The photo pictuted are decieving and not what advertised.
