Nothing - everything worked well and couldn't have asked for more. Maybe the area didn't have much nightlife or restaurants, but that's the price of being nearer many of the tourist attractions.

Easy and good value. So cheap for such a high quality hotel, didn't disappoint. Nice room had a great view over massive mosque. Comfortable and everything well functioning. Good shower, WiFi, tv. Friendly staff. Decent breakfast. Lots of nice touches like matches and shoe polish which although I didn't use made it feel a bit more thoughtful. Very short walk to old area of city, further from commercial centre but always a trade off

The check-in time is 12 PM. We arrived at 12:30 PM but the room was not ready yet. They let us check in 10 minutes after but it looked like the room had not been cleaned properly, and there were floods of water all over the bathroom floor. The Wi-Fi signal is so slow and low that it's impossible to use it. There is no taxi point close to the hotel. They also do not cooperate with any service themselves. We asked them to call us a taxi upon checkout but they were only able to use a standard "taxi button" - and no taxi came as a result. We were lucky to catch one on the street otherwise we would be late for a bus.

The breakfast had a good variety of fresh dishes to choose from. Our room had a lovely little balcony. When we asked for cleaning the next day, the room was finally cleaned properly. The location is very central, and you can get to any corner of the city by taking a subway or a bus.

Nice place to stay in Ankara! Really cool location (hotel is close to Ankara Castle, old city streets, Haci Bayram Mosque), also our room had nice view on park and mosque. Staff was friendly, Mr.Burak is superprofessional, helped us a lot. Internet speed was OK, everything worked well. Breakfast was tasty and had various positions. Rooms were clean and cosy, comfortable beds. Thank you for pleasant atmosphere we really liked this place ❤

Everything was fine with the cleaning, but if the cleaner forgot to leave a new roll of toilet paper, do not try to ask for it by calling the reception - it is better to go right down and explain in words))) The Wi-Fi in the room (304) worked completely differently - on my iPhone perfectly, on my friend's iPhone - poorly.

Breakfast is usual for such hotels, it is the same every day, but it is difficult to stay hungry. The location of the hotel is excellent, there is a taxi station nearby. It was cool at night, and at our request we were immediately given a blankets.

The staff spoke little English, so the attention was somewhat distant.

The hotel has very comfortable rooms in perfect condition. The restaurant is elegant and the buffet is good. The place was close to where I wanted to go and the cost is affordable.

I was disappointed that the staff did not remind guests to wear facemasks as they moved around the hotel, used the lift etc. At the time I stayed there Ankara was rated "High Risk" for Covid so this made me feel uncomfortable.

The breakfast at Grand Sera was much better than at most hotels in Turkey with plenty of choice. The room was spacious. The hotel is very well located with easy access to the fantastic Museum of Civilisations amongst other historical attractions. There is a bonus of some very good restaurants nearby.

Cigarettes smell everywhere, everything (bed’s edge, carpet, pillows and blankets) smells. We were suggested to change a room, 2nd one was better but still smelled terribly. We had to sleep with windows open. After first night we found cigarettes ashes on the floor, so cannot rate cleaning high Although, there is a sign at the reception that smoking are prohibited, there are ashtrays and matches in the rooms, so they basically motivate people to smoke in the room.

12 min walk to Clock gate / Ankara castle entrance and old town. 20-25 min walk (through Gencilic park) from rail station, 3 min walk to Dolmuş terminal (nice to go to Aşti otogar, 20-30 min). Hamam 3min from a hamam. super comfy bed. slippers in the room!
