Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

NetherlandsThe tramway was close to the hotel and they start construction on it from 23.00 till 03.00 in the night you could not be in youre room so much noise. Of course not the hotels fault and they give us a room on other side of the hotel.

Bosnia and HerzegovinaI booked economy double room (2 separate beds) and when I arrived room I was given was a single bedroom with 1 queen size bed. I was told hotel is full and therefore we were given this room. Next day I requested change of room and while staff reacted promptly they insinuated that I booked room I was given. I ended up getting much bigger apartment (3 bedroom) but it was above street level and was noisy, TV in the room was tiny and placed in the very corner of the room so it was basically unusable and remote didn't function. Room was not cleaned daily although I went to the reception desk and asked for it.
Locqtion of the hotel is excellent. Easy access to tram line and marmaray. Breakfast was great. Staff friendly and polite. All staff wears masks and disinfectants are placed inside the hotel in multiple locations. Staff reminds guests frequently of necessity of wearing masks if observing someone not following these safety guidelines.

RussiaI rested for several days at the hotel. Good location, cozy, clean hotel, cleaning every day, helpful staff, manager Mehmet helps in all matters, many thanks to him for this. Excellent breakfast, fruits, pastries, sweets, cheeses, desserts, delicious coffee. The veranda offers a beautiful view of the bay. I recommend it for both families and romantic couples.

Mehmet and his team were excellent. They took care of us the entire stay from beginning to end. Mehmet was extremely helpful in recommending tours and restaurants. The thing I appreciated the most was that he looked after my mom when she got there early and was waiting for her room. They went to every length to look after her and make her comfortable. I will definitely recommend Hotel Ipek Palas to friends and family. It also had an excellent location and we could walk to all the attractions we wanted to see.
