Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

SingaporeCarpet has smell of stale sweat. Beds are very soft (User 60KG). Wifi was weak 🥲, when we informed the host, they passed us a Wifi Box which rectified the problem completely for 5 devices. 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
Quite idyllic setting with a lovely courtyard, tables and chairs to enjoy the cool breeze, sounds of animals, and perhaps a picnic or meal. Whole place has plenty of foliage, hence cooling and inviting. Staff are very warm and accommodating and ensures that you have a comfortable time.

GreeceFor such a beautiful hotel, the parking area should be paved.
We enjoyed the hotel's beautiful old buildings and the great garden. It was a pleasure to walk from the room and pass all the greenery to go to the breakfast area and the reception. The hotel has loads of interesting collector's items virtually everywhere, especially some interesting historical photos.

We absolutely loved staying at Hotel Kalehan. The staff were exceptional. They were incredibly attentive and helpful. After walking through the front door you enter an Ottoman oasis. The rooms have been decorated with traditional carpets and furnishings but the bathrooms are modern with large showers. There are several buildings with accommodation surrounding a large garden with a lovely pool, seating and the resident turtles. The breakfast was a very good selection of with the addition of eggs cooked to your liking. The restaurant was open every night with an extensive menu. There is adequate parking at the front and on the side entrance. It’s an easy walk to restaurants, the museum and the Basilica of St John. I highly recommend you stay here.

United StatesEverything! Loved this place and would recommend it to everyone! They were so sweetly accommodating and I felt so spoiled. If ever we needed help they would go out of their way. It felt like a warm family style place that had so much local flavor! Everything was super close by, you can see the castle (fortress).as you lounge by the pool. Euphesus is 10 min away (max), the basílica 3 min away. It was an amazing place all the staff were so sweet and when we left they practically were all there to wave us off! Special thanks to Dora who had an enchanting play list by the pool and great wine recommendations! Thanks to everyone there who made our stay extraordinary!

IndiaGreat location - a 5 minute walk from the railway station and a 15 minute walk from the bus station. The hotel is a nice, spacious and clean property. The rooms are big and airy, there’s a small pool And bar and the restaurant has a lavish breakfast spread with fresh fruits and good lunch and dinner options. The staff were extremely polite and spoke a number of languages, including English. It’s not a fancy modern hotel but is perfect if you’re looking for a nice getaway

The rooms are super large, comfortable (A/C option) and charming. The whole complex of buildings is decorated in traditional antiques. The staff is kind, generous and helpful. The pool was warm in July but a wonderful reprieve from the very high temperatures of the day. Location was an easy walk to restaurants and bus station, though with baggage try to get a drop closer to. Great value for money.

SingaporeThis was a really wonderful hotel and we were sad to say goodbye. The staff were exceptional- even keeping the restaurant open for us for a late dinner when our plans changed due to rain. Thank you to everyone and especially Abi Dean and Melisa. The food was also very good - both the included buffet breakfast and the purchased other food. The rooms were sweet as were the pool and garden, where there are also turtles. From the street the hotel doesn’t look like it will be that nice - but don’t let that fool you. It was a really great value for money and left us with very nice memories!

Highly recommend!!! Kalehan Hotel in Selçuk has got to be one of the best hotels we have stayed in for a number of reasons. We were made to feel so welcome and that nothing was too much trouble. The level of service is absolutely exceptional and not something we have received anywhere else. The location of Kalehan is great for all the sites, the town, train station, and bus station. The facilities are really good, there is a lovely pool, fabulous restaurant and a resident family of tortoise, that are too cute for words. But above all, the service is excellent. Ayse hanim responded to my requests prior to arrival via email very efficiently. Mehmet bey (manager) ensured we had all our requests met, was extremely welcoming and helpful with transport arrangements. Melisa on reception was always there with a beautiful welcoming smile and always ready to help. Abiding Bey was there every day, all day from serving breakfast to the evening meal in the restaurant. No requests was too big or too small for him. He has a fantastic memory, not only for names, but for what you like to eat, drink and how you like them. He has worked at the hotel for 27 years and takes much pride in all that he does. Mustafa bey is an excellent chef, the food at the restaurant has a modern twist on Turkish classics using fresh local produce that tastes absolutely delicious. Hatice, Ahsen and Nurdan hanims are exceptional housekeepers. By the time we finished breakfast, our room was cleaned, bed made, clean towels, and bedding if needed every day. They even made fancy swans out of towels on our beds every day. We were lucky to have received an upgrade to a beautiful room (207) that was more of a suite, than a room. The beautiful antique furniture, turkish rugs, super powerful air conditioning, fabulous bathroom and king size bed made this room our haven after our excursion and the heat of the day.
