How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

The advertisement of the hotel is misleading. It has a view on a port where you cannot swim, not a beach. The nearest beach where you can swim is one hour far from the hotel. Be aware of that!!
The hotel is very modern and has good facilities.

Parking not easy to find but the valet can help. Old furniture. New towels needed. No elevator from concierge. The shower is old. Breakfast is average. TV is old, needs more channels. Our room was located on the 3rd floor and the window overlooked the street, and so we were not able to sleep from the noise, we were able to hear what people were saying!!!
Closeness to the sea. Clean. Spacious. Close to city center.

Breakfast was very ordinary & limited options very tinny breakfast place only good sea view restaurant thats it
Well I didn’t like anything because over priced hotel with modern facilities but noisy & not worth of money. Similar cost can be stayed in bigger place

Not quite as good as the high price promised: breakfast the first day was very crowded and poorly stocked, and the noise insulation in the room was surprisingly poor, with traffic noise always audible. The welcome, and subsequent service, was unusually impersonal for a boutique hotel.
Fantastic view even a 3rd floor room overlooking both harbour and city; great location, alongside the Konak Pier centre with plenty of good restaurants and bars. Elegant, if rather dark and gloomy, styling; good breakfast buffet, and decent small gym.

It is hard to reach the hotel with your own car since it is one-side road so you have to be careful of other cars the breakfast was below the average, I was expecting much better breakfast!
I liked the room it is big and very comfortable, the bathroom was clean and modern. nice location in the front of the sea the room was clean and nicely decorated the staff was very helpful especially with car parking since it is hard to park and drive in this area

It was too dark! Even with a Seaview family room, there wasn't enough light. The room facing into the atrium was so dark even with the lights on. I would recommend brighter bulbs and maybe more lamps. Also, I don't think the dark walls helped the situation.
I loved that the family rooms had two bathrooms, the friendliness of the staff, and the cleanliness of the hotel. The showers are fantastic and proper rainfall style.

The management was totally unprofessional and inattentive. No communication between the reception staff members resulted in late breakfast (1 hour) late taxi after a four hour notification, and no concept of how to show international guests paying too dollar for accommodations easily found elsewhere they are valued and our business is appreciated.
Location was perfect. I stayed for the view of the harbor

I can't think of anything!
The location is superb. A 2 minute walk to Konak pier, the Kordon for bars, restaurants and coffee shops and just over the bridge to the Kemeralti. It is also easy to drive to the shopping centres: Optimum, Agora etc. Great location for the tram and walk to the Kultur Park. I really cannot recommend this hotel enough. The bedrooms are quirky (stayed twice) with great complimentary products: Molten Brown and non alcoholic mini bar with chocolate too. The breakfast is delicious with copious amounts to choose from.. The staff are attentive and the standard of English impressive! The interior is absolutely gorgeous. I do give a lot of five stars on my reviews but I would give this hotel a lot more. I seriously recommend it if you are staying in Izmir. I love this place!
