How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

I enjoyed my stay at Morione hotel Istanbul,location just perfect close to Galata ,Galata port and there is a lots of good restaurants near by , as well big thank you for the team working in this hotel ,very humble,helpful and always there for support ,want to thank specially Mr.Irfan for all his kind hospitality and also other two gentleman but don’t know their names 🥹.looking forward to book again wherever I’m coming to Istanbul also will recommend friends and relative 🤝😊⭐️

Food and rooms were vey small with no view
Location very good, bedrooms are very small and no view. Breakfast very poor and not tasty but the crew were nice . best thing is location

Everything is comfortable and clean
The staff are very kind and helpful. My experience with them was wonderful. The hotel is very nice and quiet for those who want a quiet place, near to everything. There is no disturbance. The bars are far away. The location of the hotel is great. I didn't lose anything even though I forgot my money several times, there is a prayer rug, there is lovely smell in the hallways. I enjoyed sleeping and staying in the hotel and I will definitely return. its suitable for couples

The Hotel is at a great location. There are a lot of restaurant and bars close by. It is also near Taskim, the famous Bridge, Port Authority and Galita Tower. There is also a great breakfast restaurant nearby. You can travel easily by taxi or public transport. The staff is friendly and helpfull. The rooms are clean and cozy, the bathroom tilles could need a little renevation (nothing bad though). This is second time we visited the Hotel. We had a great stay.

Paying the price for location, but still feel slightly overpriced. Breakfast could have been better, but it was sufficient.
Location was great. Rooms were quiet with thick doors, could hear practically nothing even though room was next to the stairs and elevator. EXCELLENT AC. Bathroom was great. Everything was clean and well maintained in the room I was in. TV was new too.

The area is very small.
The hotel is clean. The rooms are very cramped compared to the value for the stay. The elevator is narrow. The power of the air conditioning was simple and the room was hot, especially in the period we were in, and it was hot. The staff welcomes the guests and is of service. The space in general does not correspond to the value, as it is very narrow and not suitable for large families.

The hotel location is really near from the coast and near to Namlie Resturant and Golo Ogloua sweets shop and only 9 min.s from Galata Tower and near to other attractions ... the hotel rooms looks clean as the pictures and staff were helpful and friendly.

They pre charged my credit when it was a pay at hotel booking! And they charged me in euro instead of the Turkish Lira.

the door lock of the room was constantly breaking, needed to talk to staff every time so they could fix it. very annoying, especially when h have to go like now, but need to deal with this lock situation.
