It was very cold, but that was our fault for not taking the right clothing.

Charming very remote hotel in a mountain setting. Hussein is an excellent driver, host and guide to the Nemrut site.

No hot water in shower. But again... location, location, location.

Very basic hotel but you can't beat the location. You can drive about 15 minutes up a gravel road from the hotel to Mt Nemrut and then about a 5 minute walk to the site. We could see top of Mt Nemrut from our hotel room. Staff was very friendly. Breakfast was good.

Shower could be bigger but only stayed one night so not big deal.

Incredible location just a few minutes drive up the hill, and 5 minute walk to see Mt Nemrut. Hotel is basic but clean, with decent food, wine/beer, and great staff. Most visitors to the mountain come from the other town and have a long hike to visit the site. Here you can go back and forth a number of times in one day since its so close.

There’s no Wifi connection coverage inside the hotel (rooms), and lobby. You have to go to the cafeteria that is short walking distance.

Just to be a very few kilometres from Mount Nemrut is enough.

The location is really good, only 2km away from Mt Nemrut, and the host is really good. They offer pickup from airport and tour around the city which is really good, and food is also nice.

Fan unit in the room was dearly missed, as the only air we could get in the room was through the window if the door to the room was open. It was really stuffy at night.

When visiting Mount Nemrut, this is the place you want to stay at, and I really want to emphasize this, much closer to the top than from the other side. It's next door to the ticket centre and less than 15 min drive up to the top, although you could walk or they could even drive you up there. The Motel is basic in the middle of nowhere but offers everything you may need, and in fact, the homemade food must have been the best food we had so far in Turkey (amazing and plentiful soups, meat, rice, fruit). The rooms are stark, with a simple shower, but we were not expecting a 5 star accomodation. If you have a chance, make sure you walk a bit off the motel at night to see the Milky Way and star glazing with your naked eye, which is really rather extraordinary. There's a nice cafeteria inside the ticket office where you can have a beer and chat with other travellers, with a lovely terrace overlooking Mount nemrut.

Considering the hotels isolation it was very good.

Hussain our host was excellent & cooked us a fabulous dinner and breakfast. The location is literally below the site & we could see it from our bedroom window - 2.5km away. The visitors centre is next door. Our room was very basic but comfortable.

Best location for easy access to Mt Nemrut sunset and sunrise.

The hotel is right next to Mt Nemrut. From there you can drive to the top and walk 2 minutes to the statues. In harsh windy weather, this is the greatest feature of this hotel location. From all other approaches to Nemrut, you have to drive a couple hours from your hotel and walk 30 min uphill, often in adverse weather conditions. The hotel is very basic, but they give you dinner and breakfast, so you can easily see sunset and sunrise, and save the 4 hr return trip in one day to visit Nemrut for 20 minutes which most visitors do. Highly recommend spending the night at Gunes so you can spend more time enjoying Mt Nemrut.

No WiFi (in 2024!), tepid water. And most of all... it's in a stupid location. Right next to the *old* visitor centre. But if you already arrived at the *new* visitor centre, there's no connecting road: 90 mins drive on bad roads around the mountain.

Nice staff, nice dinner, nice breakfast.

Hussain the manager was incredible, personable and made us a lovely dinner and breakfast. Unfortunately due to the terrible, weather and earthquake recovery. The electricity went out. The rooms were very cold. The bathrooms were smelly. The lo ation was fabulous. I wonder if it would be better in better weather

A landslide prevented us getting there. We contacted the property, and asked for a full refund. The contract guaranteed a 50% refund but it is normal in circumstances like this to get a full refund. They said they would consider the matter. Two months later we still haven't even had the contracted 50% refund.

Looked to be a good place.
