Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

BulgariaThe receptionist/security knew no other language but Turkish. The room was small and needed some renovation. There were no facilities like electric kettle, coffee machine, etc. I can't recall if there was an option for a breakfast but it was not included in the room price.
This hotel has a wonderful location near the central city alley, next to a shop, a good beer bar, cafeteria, etc. The receptionist/security was polite and friendly. The beds were comfy and the interior was in typical old Turkish style.

JordanWe got two rooms, and in one of the rooms, the bed was not very comfortable (You could feel the metal springs under you).
The atmosphere was very calm. It's a nice historic house that was turned into a hotel which gives it a cozy vibe. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

AustraliaCar parking is on the narrow street opposite the hotel, most of the building owners reserve the spaces with temporary bollards, so parking is not likely, although we did get lucky on our arrival late at night There IS a paid outdoor parking lot just around the corner.
This is a gorgeous old character- filled building converted into a simple but functional hotel. We loved the architecture and the size of our room even though the finish is not super high quality. We arrived late after a car breakdown and were greeted warmly by the night desk staff. The small rotation of staff we met during our stay were all equally warm, professional and cheerful and they really enhanced our experience of Edirne providing local knowledge of historical places, lots of guide books in the common reading nook was also great- we stayed an extra night to see more wonderful places, and we will definitely come back to this relaxed and friendly city. The hotel is conveniently located next to the bazaar and a huge dining and shopping district, there are so many things to see and eat nearby, and the whole place was relaxed and cheerful. Breakfast was simple but delicious - the quality of the ingredients was excellent, and everything was presented with care and attention to detail. We really liked our stay here, we felt safe and comfortable and appreciated the opportunity to talk about the city we were visiting with some locals who truly love their home.

BulgariaIt was slightly chilly even with the heating on. It's surrounded by a few mosques so it was very noisy when the praying time started, so you cannot sleep until very late.
The building is beautiful, the location is very convenient, right in the city center. The staff is super friendly and nice. Good value for the money.

BulgariaAdjacent to a mosque, prayer time was 5:30 am. Just a heads-up, not a downside.
A majestic old Ottoman era house. Loved the high ceilings and the old stairs. Would definitely recommend to stay at.

TurkeyWell, there was too much noise in the street due to renovations. But, you know, that's mostly seasonal and can happen anywhere.
Location of the hotel is quite central, there's a bit of noise in tourist season but that's ok. Breakfast was awesome and more then enough. Warn them to not bring you more than you need. Absolutely recommended place.

RomaniaI wish we had a set of 2 more pillows and regarding the turkish breakfast I wish it was a little bit more diverse, but that's only because I am not a big fan of sweets in the morning. ( they served on the table delicious honey, strawberry jam, nutella, halva, sweet bread)
We travelled quite a bit around Turkey and I can say this was the best hotel so far! It has a charming turkish vintage feel to it and for the price we payed (including breakfast) it is quite a gem! The upper floor has a nice sitting area, full of plants, vintage furniture and items. The room is airy with big windows and has a very comfortable bed. Staff was very nice and welcoming.

SlovakiaThis hotel is from the Ottoman Empire time period and it was breathing the history! Beautiful historical rooms, polite and helpful staff, speaking English, delicious breakfast. May arrival was about 1 AM and the receptionist was really okay with that!! I suggest this hotel and in my next stay I would gladly pick this hotel again.

IrelandFor anyone with mobility problems, the steep curved stairs - at the entrance and inside - could be a problem. I tore cartilage in my knee two months ago and an still recovering so I found them a bit challenging. Otherwise great!
All the staff, without exception, were si kind, helpful and gracious. They really made us feel welcomed. The house was originally an Ottoman tax office, so it has lots of original features including a curved wooden staircase and high ornate ceilings. Great location close to everything.

BulgariaThe extraordinary helpful staff expected us and did everything to assist us during the whole stay. Answering the questions, providing an additional information as well. The breakfast was delicious and pretty enough for each one of the company. The location is just around the corner of the main pedestrian and market street, few minutes only from the biggest mosque and the main square.

RomaniaPrior information on parking would be appreciated - we had to park our car by replacing the place occupied by a car of the owners, but not knowing that we parked on arrival on a paying near parking (we payed the equivalent of a day parking and moved our car in the next morning). In the area it is difficult to leave the car somewhere else (like street non paying parking). If you have one of the rooms wiewing the street beware the fact that accros the street it is Antik Pub - music stops after 12 o clock in the night.
Perfect location, good breakfast, nice caring people, suitable size of the room (family room for 4 people), good mattress. Hight of the room (perhaps over 5m high) allows good ventilation (on proper time visiting like we did).

BulgariaA small and quiet hotel located in an old building in the center of Edirne, with easy and quick access to shops and sights. Park on the street in front of the hotel with the assistance of the hotel staff as there are reserved spaces. The hotel staff are young, very kind and smiling people. The breakfast is not at a buffet, but for each room it was served at a certain table, tasty and completely sufficient, without unnecessary wastage. There is a quiet and spacious garden in the backyard of the hotel, but due to the season and frequent rains, it has not been arranged yet. Since the hotel does not have an elevator, it is not very suitable for people with special needs. I highly recommend the Oasis Hotel for a short stay and would visit again.
