How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Internet /wifi was good on the 1st day and very bad the next day. I was not able to connect at all on the 2nd night.
The day time staffs were very accommodating especial Yuksel (Bellman/ Waiter - all around). breakfast was good enough for. Room is spacious. Location is good!

Poor WiFi at times. Quite a lot of noise but not too bad.

Very hospitable staff, great location with a plenty restaurants around, beach near by, Shop next to it... we had a lovely room with a great terrase overlooking the street.

Double bed was alright but it could have been more comfortable.
Nice hotel conveniently located at short walking distance from Marmaris waterfront. Staff was super friendly. Large breakfast selection. Free parking was available onsite.

Nothing to not like
Nice clean central location to marmaris town,bazaar and beach. Breakfast was a nice selection of fresh fruit,bread,pancakes,cheese etc. Really friendly owners and workers and always had a smile.

Our shower hadn’t been cleaned properly - the glass still had water/soap marks on it from the previous guests.
Friendly staff, very tasty Turkish breakfast included, we were upgraded to a triple room from a twin room which was nice. It’s an easy walk to the busy centre and we also found parking space on the street easily in the late afternoon.

Nothing really, it does total justice to the price paid.
Full marks to the Location of this hotel, everything is within the proximity, beach, restaurants, clubs, supermarkets. Simple, basic but very comfortable rooms. Staff is very courteous and helpful, I must mention Yuksal was very humble and helpful in all ways.

The location is perfect - walking distance to Bar Street, marina and beach! Staff was great, helped with area info and especially when we needed to go to hospital. Quaint and comfortable.

Nothing to complain for money value, great value for money. Just be careful no elevator on site... Wasn't a major issue though (we had packed a lot cause of our son).
For a family location was great. Close to multiple stores (BIM, small markets, carrefour), pharmacy is close buy. Sort distance from public beach. 15 min walk from marina/old town area. They had parking at back if spot is available.

Everything was perfect!
A great hotel with super clean and comfortable rooms, a nice swimming pool, and a tasty free breakfast. Excellent location in the heart of the city. Really friendly and helpful staff that go out of their way to make you feel welcome! Highly recommended!!

I would have liked a balcony room but none were available.
Very homely atmosphere. All staff were warm, welcoming, extremely helpful. Nothing was a problem or too much trouble. We liked the location, only 150m or so from the beach. Hotel Dost was very clean.

No elevator, but not big deal for us
