There was nothing I didn't like. The facilities were as you would expect of a three star hotel, maybe not brand new but overall the price reflects this. There was some noise from the street especially at the weekend but it didn't stop us from sleeping.

This was our first time in Turkey and we stayed a week in Izmir based at the Marla Otel. We found it a great value hotel, the room was comfortable and clean. I have to say what really made our stay here was the staff. They are really genuinely friendly and helpful. Güneş the bell boy particularly went above and beyond to be of help and gave us lots of tips and suggestions for places to see or restaurants to try. Güneş English is really good and it added to our holiday experience to chat with him every day. Bersel was also ready with a smile to brighten your day and happy to help in any way and her English is also excellent.  We really enjoyed the breakfast buffet every morning. There is a good choice of cheeses, salad, breads and cereal. There is also different specialty dishes that varied each day; fried eggplant in tomato sauce, potato dishes, sausage dishes ( I don't know what the dishes were called but the ones I tried were all tasty!). Look out for the hotel cat that usually makes an appearance at some stage before she's whooshed back out the door! The rooms were always clean and comfortable and ours had a great view of the city from the 9th floor. The location of the hotel is excellent for heading out on foot and we walked everywhere in Izmir.

The staff was super helpful and lovely, they answered all of our questions and were always there if needed. Rooms were spacious and clean, the curtains blocked out the sun very well which was great given we were there in August. Amazing location, really close the to pedestrian street alongside the see and close to an amazing restaurant just on the corner.

I stay to this hotel when I visit Izmir since 2014. The internet connection has remained the same although the technology has evolved. The owner should definitely improve the internet services.

Unstable WiFi, overly complicated to connect. Unstable temperature of the shower hot water, need to adjust every minute. Very noisy from the construction works nearby, hoping that is temporary. And, despite the breakfast was included, they charge separately for the coffee!

Excellent location in the heart of the city, close to the park and to the seafront. If you are lucky to get a room X01 (X is a floor number), sea view from the balcony is great.

Street beggars are constant outside but hotel are pretty vigilant. Restaurant is limited inside hotel.

Friendly helpful staff. Good English! Kind and generous. Nice complimentary teas abd coffees. Safe and clean. Area is not the greatest but lively reasonable restaurant next door. Good value for money!

The pillows were uncomfortable. They only had one baby bed in the whole hotel, so we had to bring our own. Luckily we had one in the car.

It is an old hotel but it is clean and you have everything you need. You can open a window and get fresh air. The AC worked perfectly as well. They had a decent breakfast. The location is nice.

It is an absolutely wonderful and perfectly located hotel, with hospitable and accommodating staff! Amazing! Thank you soo much for such an amazing holiday, that I could have and fully enjoy thanks to you! Recommend anyone, visiting Izmir! The hotel has a perfect location, in the heart of Izmir, by the seaside. Perfectly communicated with the rest of the city, thanks to nearby tramways and ship trams. Close to the big bazaar, Ataturk Museum, plenty of restos and cafes - I will come back definitely!

There is nothing to eat at breakfast, only eggs, bread abd cheese. Within 2 nights room was not cleaned. Shampooed and other hygiene things were not provided

There are two bars right across from the hotel playing loud music all night. Also, one night, we heard screaming (DRUNK PEOPLE) coming from the street, and there were two people fighting. Our room was extremely hot, and the bathroom needs some remodeling.
