Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

AzerbaijanThe only problem was with wifi connection. We were staying on the third floor but there was no wifi for 3rd floor and we needed to use the wifi of 2nd floor and it was disconnecting time by time. Besides this, everything was fine.
The location is really good, from bus station or from airport you can directly come to the hotel by using the tram and it's very near to tram station as it's in the heart of Kaleici. When we saw the photos of the room before we booked it, we fell in love with the view from the room and it was as we expected when we arrived. The staff was friendly and helpful and we enjoyed the breakfast as well.

Czech RepublicThe street is a bit noisy, so better to take a room with a window to the courtyard. The breakfast was average.
Nice and comfy hotel for a good price. It's located in the city centre, few minutes from the tram station. The courtyard is nice and quiet, goof for an evening drink and breakfasts.

RussiaMy room was on the first floor facing noisy restaurant and it was hard to sleep calmly with window open as I like. If you are OK sleeping with windows closed and air-conditioning on, it should not be a problem. Otherwise ask for rooms with garden view when booking. Wifi was not stable in my room, but it was fine in my friend's room and other areas. Standard rooms and bathroom are not spacious. It's hard to place a suitcase in the room not on the way. For me that was not a problem, considering single stay for just a couple nights and spending most time outside.
Exceptional location. Considering cars are not allowed into most of the old town, this hotel is just a few steps from the taxi parking and tram line, and at the same time all surrounded by shops and restaurants. Migros supermarket, money exchange and ATM are just in a minute of walking distance. Also, it is real close to paid beach Mermerli and marina. Beautiful design of lobbies with lots of things catching eye and cozy inner yard, where its nice to have breakfast or just relax with a cup of tea of coffee. Rooftop with exceptional view on the bay and Taurus mountains, perfect spot for sunset watching. Breakfast buffet, complimentary water in the rooms, free tea 24 hours available. Nice and helpful stuff. Comfy beds, snowwhite cotton blankets, everyday room service, slippers in the room.

United KingdomThe breakfast was basic but coming to Turkey we knew that the breakfast would be. There was cereal, bread, jam, cheese, watermelon slices, olives, tea, coffee, orange juice.
The location of the hotel was perfect for exploring the old town, as it was inside the old town. There are restaurants, shops and attractions within a short walk from the hotel. The room was comfortable, the staff were friendly, the wifi was good. There was a roof top terrace with a fantastic view over the old town, harbour and mountains.

Bosnia and HerzegovinaYes, there was loud music playing at night, but we barely noticed because we were nicely exhausted from exploring the city during the day. :)
I loved our stay! The location is perfect. In the old town with lot of shops, landmarks, the Mermerli beach and the transportation nearby. The bed was very comfortable. I enjoyed our fresh breakfasts very much, the turtles in the yard and the little kitten who lives there. When we left for some tours very early in the morning the receptionist was so kind to give us a coffee free of charge. Thank you! Every room has a balcony and the view is amazing. You get water in the fridge and clean towels every day. What I liked the best however are the dear receptionists and staff who were so kind and friendly to help us find anything, to recommend where to get a dish we were looking for or give us information about Antalya in general. They made us feel at home. Thank you so much for everything! Gladly again!

United KingdomOnly problem is lots of stairs. Probably good for my health but obviously not good for people with disabilities etc. Hotel is located in centre of Old Town. There's many taxis nearby but some cars can't come close so you may have to walk a short distance. Around 5 minutes. Still 10/10 for me.
Location is perfect for tourism. Views from windows are great and from the balcony is the best. Staff were great. Food at restaurant was good. Terrace where food is served is very nice. This was the favourite hotel from the four I stayed at in this trip.

CanadaIf anything, I would suggest a little more cleaning (dust bunnies under the bathroom sink) and blackout drapes.
The best view in the Old Town. Our suite room was on the 3rd floor and had an amazing view of the sea. The seating area was perfect for a sunset drink. If you didn’t book such a room, the rooftop terrace was huge with tables, chairs and outdoor sofas. The bed was comfortable! The breakfast was delicious and the staff helped us get a taxi in the morning.
