The elevator is not available but receptionist will help to carry bags to upstairs.

Value for the money, staff is very friendly. Location is walking distance from the old city centre and all the tourist attractions. Hotel itself is not easy to reach by car because of the small roads and traffic but taxis will take you there.

The fridge was very small and some personal stuff like tooth brush & tooth paste were not included or facial wash liquid was not included. No iron we could find in the room. Maybe we could ask the staff but we didn't. There was street noise/ shouting at night but all gone close to 12 am and afterwards

The staff were very kind and very supportive. They let us have the room earlier than normal check in time. The room and beds were quite clean. The hotel was quiet at night to have a convenient sleep. We liked breakfast as well with different foods. Also we were quite happy with the location of the hotel in terms of being close to the city center, having easy access to famous attractions and easy transportation across city.

Nothing. Just to be aware that it is a steep walk up to Sultanahmet Square, Grand Bazaar and surrounding areas, however public transport links are close by if needed.

The warm and generous hospitality of Adem and all the staff made our stay. They really took care of us and went the extra mile when I was unwell, which was so appreciated. The room was spotless, simple but had everything we needed. The breakfast buffet was substantial. The hotel is located on a quieter side street so we were not bothered by noise from the main road.

The attitude of the owner was extremely kind. We got everything we needed for our stay. In addition, we were answered all questions about arranging our sightseeing tours in the surrounding area and were given recommendations for places to eat. The hotel was very nice and cozy. The breakfast was varied enough. There was a parking lot near the hotel, which is used for hotel guests at preferential prices.

Great place to stay in Istanbul

The area is very much a typical busy Istanbul street - where you can find an open market, street vendors, shops and the like, all intermingled in one big melting pot. While the side street the hotel is on is very quiet, you might found some of the surroundings a bit of a sensory overload. If you're not looking for something authentic, this might not be the place for you.

I thoroughly enjoyed the hospitality of the people running the hotel, which has been extraordinary, in particular Adem's, the manager. Throughout the journey, he made sure that every request I had was sorted out and helped with recommendations for the city. The hotel is clean and provides everything you would want on your trip. A simple yet varied breakfast, a quiet authentic Turkish closed street and a comfortable room. The staff try their utmost to keep the place a quiet and family-friendly place, which makes a huge difference.

Incredible hospitality and kindness, the generous breakfast, comfortable and spotless room. Loved the location. It's perfect on so many levels. Its within walking distance of most tourist attractions, while being authentic, and untouristic. The people in the stores and on the streets around were warm and friendly and helpful and the stores and restaurants are not the tourist traps you can find in other places.

There wasn't anything we did not like. It's true that the surrounding buildings are a bit rundown but despite the area's modest appearance we always felt safe and had a comfortable stay.

The hotel offers a blend of comfort and convenience for travellers. With clean, stylish rooms featuring A/C, kettle, and complimentary tea and coffee, it provides a cozy retreat. It is situated in an authentic neighborhood of Istanbul, within walking distance of major attractions in a safe area. The friendly owner is ready to assist guests, from organizing transfers to providing helpful local tips. Since we were leaving early, on the last day we got packed breakfast on request, ensuring a great start to our day. They serve a diverse breakfast, catering to different tastes and preferences. Hotel Ramparts is clean and stylish, with all the essential amenities. Its prime location, safety, and dedicated owner make it an excellent choice for a memorable stay in Istanbul.

For example the Grand Bazaar, the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia are within a twenty minute walking distance. The owner is friendly and always ready to assist, even with special requests. He ensures a welcoming atmosphere. The hotel provides stylish, comfortable rooms, modern amenities and it's very clean. The breakfast is a delightful and varied, it promises a delicious start to each day of your stay.

Hotel area may seem a little more strange, but it is safe and you will not have any problems there.

The hotel offers very good accommodation conditions. Clean rooms, good breakfast with various products, and the staff is very friendly. Mr. Adem is helpful in any situation and offers advice for a pleasant stay. If you go by car, there is a private parking lot in front of the hotel, for a fee (7 euros/day) and you can leave the car without worries.

Don't expect a fancy hotel with a swimming pool. It is just a comfortable, safe, and clean place to sleep in and have your breakfast in the morning, which, by the way, could be more versatile. However, I had no complaint about it myself.

I would definitely stay again in the same hotel next time, mainly because of Mr. Adam. In such a country where they love their own language in a way they hardly speak any other languages, you really need a supportive and understanding friend like Mr. Adam. Mr. Adam will make you feel at home. He will make better reservations for you without any commission. He even paid $ 3 (out of 43$) from his own pocket for me when I had no change. The room itself is clean, quite (although my rooms were on the 1st floor), it has good AC, and hot/cold water in the oderless bathroom. The location is good if you want to stay within walking distance from all the historic parts of the city. You will be close to public transportation as well. You just have to consider that you might have to walk a little bit. The hotel was a great value for money.

The host was incredibly friendly and helped us with everything we needed including our taxi transportation. The location is also very good, one can reach all main attractions by foot.

Though it was written in the Booking.com, unfortunately they don't accept credit cards. I had to pay cash Euros.

Room was quite big with a big cupboard, 02 comfortable chairs & a tea table, a mini fridge, a table with complementary tea, coffee & sugar, Room & toilet were clean. Toilet & bath had clean towels & toiletries. Beds with side tables. Good breakfast. Owner Mr. Adem was very helpful. Location was excellent. Just in the old city neighborhood. Very close to the tourists attractions.

Hairdryer in bathroom has served his thing and its time for new one that is easier to use. And just suggestion to put some net on few windows because of mosquitoes.

Its my second time I stayed in Ramparts hotel. First and foremost our host Adem is wonderful host and man who will make your stay memorable from giving you informations you need, providing things you ask, givining you transportation card to use, arranging you taxi transportaton, or just casualy taking about things your intrested learning about lovely Istanbul and Turkish people. Room was confy, big enough for 3 of us, with really comfortable mattreses and big bathroom with great shower with welcome gifts in the fridge waiting for you. Location of hotel is what I also like very much. Near main historic attractions and in the neighborhood that is full of shops, groceries, places to buy food, safe, and with real feel of local life in this huge city. Also great breakfast with variety of options.
