Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesI can’t speak about the breakfast because I stayed only one night and left before breakfast was served. THis was my third time staying here, and the hotel appears to be under new management. Furniture was a bit run-down.
The best thing about this hotel is the location, poised on a hill right above the UluCami and the Koza Han, near many interesting sights and restaurants. Located in a charming old 19th c. restored home.

FranceNothing to highlight. We were very happy with our stay.
Our room was large and traditional in style, with a large comfortable bed. The hotel is in a great location right near the clock tower park and within walking distance of the other main attractions of Bursa (mosque, bridge...). The parking space we had requested was waiting for us, right opposite the entrance. Good breakfast.

United KingdomExcellent location for everything you could want to see - close to public transport but also walkable, and set back from the street so nice and quiet. Very friendly and helpful staff went out of their way to make sure I got to where I needed to be. Very good breakfast and the comfiest bed I've slept in in a long time. Excellent value for money.

Canadagood coffee was hard to find.
Imagine a small, quaint hotel with a room facing the street. We slept with the windows open and every morning we were awakened by the aroma of fresh bread from the bakery next door.

GermanyBrighter lights are needed in the room, and the breakfast can definitely improve. Turkish breakfasts are known to have a wide variety of items so this hotel is on the lower end of the spectrum regarding this aspect.
This hotel is set in a historic Ottoman house, and so has great charm. The bed was also extremely comfortable, and I liked the floor heating. Location was also stellar as the things worth seeing in Bursa are spread out on a east-west axis and this hotel is right in the middle of it.

United KingdomThis is a great, central location for visiting the historic centre of Bursa, on the edge of the citadel and just above the main bazaar quarter. We enjoyed the traditional, historic character of the builidng and the comfort and generosity of the bedrooms. Staff were always friendly and helpful and reserved a parking space for us outside the hotel.

South KoreaMr.Shefer was definitely one of the best hosts i've ever met. His great hospitality made the hotel's a few cons nothing at all. Probably the language barrier seems to make this hotel even more attractive and authentic. The breakfast was also so lovely. Thanks to the host my Bursa trip was super and unforgettable!

SingaporeOne of us has knee problems so climbing up and down the stairs to access the family room can be very challenging. No lifts as the property is an Ottoman style accommodation, otherwise everything is perfect.
We had a lovely time in Bursa and staying at Safran Hotel. The owner and the host gave us a warm welcome and made sure we settled in comfortably. The family suite is on the highest floor (3rd floor) with fantastic view of the city and Mount Uludaq. The location is just 2 minutes walk to Osman and Orhan Gazi’s Tombs and a huge teres overlooking Bursa City. It is a 6 mins walk to the Bazaar and 10 min walk to Ulu Camii. The host (Shakir, we called him Mr YumYum) served us and other hotel patrons breakfast which was the same everyday but we didn’t mind it as it was delicious. They helped book taxi and transfers too.

United KingdomNothing!
Our host was so welcoming and a true gentleman. He chose his best room for us on the top floor giving splendid views of the City Gate and the Grand Mosque. Splendid location for walking around all the main sites. Very comfortable bed and lovely breakfast with some lightly cooked organic spicy salami! We needed to use Google Translate to communicate for recommendations for dinner but that was fine. He was very keen to make sure we had all we needed and even gave me a parting gift!
