Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.

By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomThere are dogs on the site which are cute and no problem but can bark at night. The menu for the restaurant has food which takes time to cook. As the chef cooks to order this meant that the meat was not as tender as it could have been. Perhaps this could be cooked early in the day? This is only a minor point as the soup was lovely
The setting was idyllic. The rooms spacious, spotless and had everything we needed. The enormous bed was very comfy, as were the pillows. The site had a pool and a children's pool, a restaurant which provided a wonderful breakfast as well as evening meals. Tea and coffee was available for free all day. Staff were very helpful and helped us to get a transfer to our next destination. This hotel is perfect for those wanting peace and quiet and for young families

United KingdomReally cool spot. The bungalows are spacious and comfortable and are situated within a lovely garden area with friendly dogs and chickens roaming around. I stayed during low season so it was incredibly peaceful. Good, filling breakfast. Owner is a good guy and very helpful. Note, Cirali is a bit of a sprawling settlement so you probably want to hire a bike to get around :)

GermanyOur room was next to the kitchen and a bit noisy. Some of the common area could use a bit of cosmetic repair, bungalows could be a bit more atmospheric, e.g. no TL light.
Good breakfast, clean and comfortable room. Big pool. Free roaming chicken in the garden.

A lot of greenery, fee hammocks and animals in the garden and in the village (chickens, cats,.dogs, goats, hedgehog...) Great breakfast and nice stuff. Would recommend. The nearest part of a long beach is cc 10 min, cc 20 min to the center of the village, slow walking. I would recommend this place

Really pretty bungalows set in lovely gardens. The staff were all really kind and we were able to pay for some washing to be done. Breakfast was exceptional - a traditional village breakfast to set you up for the day. We had a few snacky meals in the restaurant which is v good value and bought drinks and ice cream there. It is about a 10 minute walk to the beach and about 7 to the supermarket. There are a number of restaurants near the beach too. The pool is lovely - really clean and although not heated my children enjoyed swimming in it even in October. They have lots of friendly dogs and chickens and we even saw a hedgehog in the garden. Yes you can stay closer to the beach/town but these options were more expensive and the walk wasn’t difficult. I felt it offered excellent value for money.

United KingdomA dark walk into the town to eat, but could have gone by car. Water used for the tea and coffee was filtered but still tasted very salty, suggest they use bottled water when making drinks.
The staff are lovely and the grounds really beautiful with greenery and hens walkings around. Pool is large, kids loved it as well as all the pathways to scoot around on their scooters on. Restaurant and bar was very reasonably priced. Included breakfast was amazing! Overall really great value for money.

AustraliaPerhaps have a couple of bikes or so to hire to get through to the Chimera Mount Picnic Area without the walk.
This is a great bungalow complex that is a wonderful, all ages atmosphere (including the chickens etc.). It is quiet, and you can get to the beach through a walking track almost directly (and they have their own umbrellas set up). The breakfast was always generous and very fresh. Pool was beautiful and cool and whole site well maintained. Evening dinner was expertly cooked and again wonderfully fresh. A great asset was that many staff had sufficient English to help with ordering or making arrangements. They even did a load of washing for Euro6 - very welcome.

SerbiaThe noise in the morning. A lot of roosters and dogs (well like 3-4 dogs actually) are on the property and they all make (mainly the roosters) a lot of noise in the morning (starts even before 6am sometimes!). Bring earplugs. We were warned about this through some of the reviews here, so we did bring them, however I don’t like sleeping with them so I gave up after a couple of nights. It seems I got used to the roosters I think because somehow I stopped noticing them after a while (their noises) and it didn’t bother my sleep that much. This is not a dealbreaker in my opinion, because the property is so pretty with such beautiful greenery and all, that you somehow accept the animals as an integral part of it. Next, the shower in our room was a bit funky, the water jet was not always equal but that was tolerable. What I would change though is the lack of a proper shower with a short hose and everything. There is only a shower head and I usually don’t like that type of showers. Next, be careful of ants - as the property has so many plants all around, insects are bound to be there as well - don’t leave any food in an open container anywhere in your room or ants will come :D my advice is eat it, throw it or put it in the little fridge. If they do come, just ask one of the hotel staff for some ant repellent - it works like magic! Lastly, around lunch time, pide and pizzas or any kind of dough, wasn’t available at the hotel kitchen - only for example burgers. I don’t know why this was, but I would definitely change that. Their pide was delicious. Some people wrote about the beach and its proximity- it is really a 10min walk max, and after we learned the way, we didn’t mind it. To get closer to the Apella sunbeds, just turn left when you get to Zakkum market, not right, or you’ll have to walk longer once you get to the beach.
I loved the location and the whole village of Cirali. So peaceful, beautiful nature, lots of greenery. The Apella hotel property has a wonderful garden filled with fruits (avocado, orange trees…) and animals and it makes for a really wonderful break from the hustle and bustle of the big cities (if you’re coming from a big city like me, you’ll be very happy with it!). All of the staff were very friendly and accommodating, not a single thing we asked for remained unfulfilled or unable to be fulfilled. Mind you, some of them speak very little English, but there are enough of those who speak it very well so you can always manage. The food at breakfast was amazing - all of the choices were there: cheeses, spreads, jams, eggs every which way, pastries, fruits… breakfast was my favorite part of the day! We didn’t take the full package, only breakfast was included, but we did have dinner and lunch in the hotel restaurant couple of times. It was good but breakfast was undoubtedly better. As far as rooms go, they are spacious, beds are comfortable. Every bungalow has a cute elevated porch you can sit on in the morning or afternoon and have your Turkish coffee :)
