Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

The common seating area was a nice surprise. The beds were comfortable. Staff were helpful. The apartment stayed cool during the heat of the day.

United KingdomThe sink tap was completely loose, one light was missing (a wire exposed), mould in the shower corners and there was a hole in the toilet door.
Considering the location of where the apartment is, it was extremely cheap considering the location (5 mins walk away from Taksim square) all shops were sitting on your doorstep and the metro around a 5 mins walk away too.

SerbiaTerrible Wi-Fi, practically not existing. Sending messages and reporting at the reception didn't help. Toilet wasn't perfectly clean when we came. Towels were not changed in 4 days. Only 1/2 roll of toilet paper for 4 persons for 4 days.

United KingdomIt was nice spacious apartment. Location is 5 minutes walk from Taksim Sq and Istiklal St. The staff was very helpful specially I would like to mention Mr. Yiğit who was very friendly and helped us out of the way. Our bag was stolen from Istiklal Street and he went to the Police station with us as interpreter and helped us to make/receive a lot of calls to British Consulate. Thank you Yiğit for everything you did for us.

Greece1. Curtains allow light to come in (that means you wake up when the sun rises). 2. Spotty wifi (at least at second floor, room 201) 3 No change of towels in a 3 night visit. 4 No power outlet close to the bed. 5 Not a problem for me, but bear in mind that there is no elevator.

Chileit was so dirty, I chose an apartment for my family and I received one apartment with lower maintenance, the person who was in charge of our check-in, Volkan, was so nice when I asked for the changing room because the toilet was dirty and ugly ( a lot of oxidation in the shower door) and they don't have an elevator.
the location is amazing, close to Taksim Square.

Germanythe flat hadn’t been cleaned when we arrived. the bathroom floor was flooded, the shower drain filled with hair, the sink stained, the floors dusty and full of hairs… it was disgusting! the guy at the reception made sure it got cleaned the next day but still, the worse first night ever! the rest of the flat was just awful, beds and pillows uncomfortable, the kitchen utensils not useable, the furniture old and close to giving up, you could hear everything the neighbors did… I think we could have accepted that IF the flat had been cleaned but after the terrible first impression, everything bad was just very noticeable.
location was perfect, very close to the bus station to the airport, also close to Taksim square and many bars and restaurants and the street itself was just very vivid and lovely. the guys at the reception were friendly and tried their best to help us solve the issues with the flat.

NetherlandsThe equipment in the room was terrible. We had two rooms, one of them didn't have a kitchen but the other room had one. The gas stove in the kitchen wasn't connected to gas, and when we asked for a solution, they gave us a camping gas stove. It was working, but it produced a strange smell and smoke, and the smoke detector in the room started alarming. The staff turned off the electricity of the smoke detector, but it also turned off all the lights and electricity in the bathroom. The smoke detector was alarming the next day, although we didn't use the gas stove again, so we used the bathroom without light.
The staff was friendly. Although the room that we booked was in maintenance, they provided alternative rooms for us. The location is relatively nice and close to Taksim.

United StatesNot too much negative, you get what you pay for so be open minded and you'll love this small hotel with great staff.
The Staff at Suite Dreams Istanbul are GREAT! This was my third time staying at this hotel. It is now my go to hotel everytime I visit Istanbul. It's a great value. Volkan and rest of the staff is so accommodating with all your needs. Anything from Taxi service, sightseeing recommendations or anything you may need. All super friendly. Very close walk to Taksim Square with lots of restaurants and subway that will take you everywhere. Rooms are all individually styled but be open but very comfortable and they have private entrance which makes easy to enter. They have small fridge for so you can purchase drinks and snacks if you choose at local market a block away. Also mini stove if needed for warming things up.
