Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesWe spent two nights at this hotel in Sanliurfa. We had two rooms and enjoyed them very much. The staff is excellent and very helpful. Our rooms were upstairs and we climbed stairs to get tho them (no lift), which was fine for us, but would be difficult for someone with mobility issues. There is no parking on site, but there is a car park quite close to the hotel. Only about 5 minute walk to the bazaar and ten minute walk to Balikligol.

The history and architecture of the building and room. The host was so friendly and personable, and gave me a tour of the place explaining the history. Bed was comfortable and room was clean. Breakfast was outstanding, especially the eggs. I would definitely stay here again.

Room very large, confortable and cleaned. Staff very professional and kind. The structure is historical and fascinating, immersed in the heart of Sanliurfa. Quality of the food was good.

ItalyA remarkably airy, calm and beautiful space in the heart of the old city. Spacious, tastefully furnished deluxe rooms organized around two connecting open air courts - including gentle fountain and pomegranate tree. Abundant and varied Turkish breakfasts. Really a very pleasant and safe-feeling place to stay - offering a decidedly local and personal experience without sacrificing modern comforts and discretion. The owner was more than generous with her time and advice, and all staff showed great patience as we sought common platforms of communication in this multicultural, multi religion, multi language city.

CanadaNothing, the place was excellent.
Tessera Hotel was a very neat place. The owner was kind enough to tour me around the facility and share a bit of the history of the place. She was very accommodating and really strive to ensure I enjoyed my stay. My thanks go to her. Also she and her staff were able to put me in touch with a local guide named Ridvan who was a very solid guy with lots of knowledge of the local history and Mesopotamian highlights of this part of the world. I highly recommend reaching out to the owner to put you in touch.

United StatesEverything was great!
This is a charming heritage hotel with very welcoming and helpful proprietors & staff. The breakfast was excellent! The hotel location was great - walkable to historic sites such as the Balikli Göl pool, Mevlid-I Halil Mosque, Abraham's Cave, and the Göbekli Tepe & Mosaic museums as well as restaurants and bazaars. Drove to Göbekli Tepe archaeological site - absolutely breathtaking! Very nice stay, would definitely return!

Hong KongNo elevator at the hotel, so people with mobility issues should request for rooms on the lower floor. No issues with the luggage though as the staff would bring them to the room.
Charming new hotel that used to be an Armenian Catholic monastery. Room was clean, spacious and had high ceilings. I was upgraded to a suite and the bathroom had ample countertop space. Service by the manager, Ali, and his team was impeccable. When I wanted to tip the staff for helping with my luggage, he initially refused, and only accepted after I insisted -- the only other place I experienced this was in Japan, which is world-renowned for their hospitality standards. Breakfast was delicious and there was often too much food! The resident kitties were also a delight to have around. Ali also arranged a private tour to visit Gobeklitepe, Karrahantepe and Harran at a reasonable price. I recommend requesting for our guide, Riduan, who spoke fluent English and in addition to guiding at the above attractions, provided great ideas for a more authentic local experience. He introduced us to the local 15th century Bazaar (which is miles more authentic than the Grand Bazaar in Istanbul) and patronized by locals. This Bazaar is incidentally only about 10-mins walk away from the hotel. You could actually see the blacksmiths live in action at work making iron stakes and carpenters crafting furniture. Riduan also brought us to a great local restaurant that was the gastronomic highlight of our trip both in terms of taste and value (and I say this after having gone through Istanbul and Antalya previously).

Amazing boutique hotel. Very convenient location - easy walk to all the sights. Easy parking nearby in spacious lot and with help with baggage. Most comfortable beds in Turkey so far! Very friendly and helpful staff. Special mention to Ali who we dealt with most, and the delightful lady owner. Great breakfast. Highly recommended.

DenmarkEverything was top notch! only thing is I wish we could stay more 😂
This was a wonderful stay that forever left impressions on us. Everything was fabulous from the arrival-the way we were welcomed and to our departure. The hotel is an absolute wonderful fairytale building and is so beautiful, cozy and full of ambiance, warmth and tranquility - the cozy courtyard, the terrace and the beautiful decorated spacious clean rooms. The hotel owner Mrs. Yasemin welcomed warmly and with a true hospitality and while drinking tea gave us a little history about the building itself. She was a head nurse and managed a Child Hospital for 25 years and it was evident in every aspect that a woman’s and a previous nurse hand is on this gem of hotel. In the way how hygiene and cleaning was prioritized and managed, the way the hotel was decorated, the attentiveness of all personnel. All of her personnel/ staff were incredible service minded, polite, attentive and friendly and accommodating to our wishes. it was an oasis of peace and happiness to stay there. On their card it states that Tessera Hotel is your world- I would say it’s your home. staying there felt like being at your own home ! Just with all the luxury of an accommodation of a hotel added! Breakfast was rich, various and delicious and prepared when you were ready. Turkish coffee, tea etc were prepared after our wishes. We were so happy and satisfied with our stay and breakfast that we decided to have dinner at the hotel. They prepared a tasty wonderful dinner which honestly was the best we had in Urfa. The beds were absolutely gorgeous to sleep in. Our best sleep in our 1 week GAP tour. I want yet again thank everyone for making our staying so wonderful. Thank you to Mr. Ali who managed the hotel- a very attentive, kind polite and respectful person. To the again very attentive, service minded nice waiter- who we sadly missed name- thank you for all the nice conversations . To the cleaning lady and guy who always had a smile on their faces and warm greetings.

Lovely courtyard, roof terrace looking directly down on the Ulu Camii mosque. At the end of a tiring day, it was great to sit on the terrace with a cold beer and watch the sunset. (And in almost-dry Sanliurfa, getting a beer at all was a pleasant surprise.)
