Only 1 thing, a socket was hanging off the wall, would not have been an issue but I had my 18 month old with me. I moved the bed in front of that socket and informed the host, he offered another room but since I had already covered the socket it was no longer and issue.

If you book this place look for turko restaurant which is on the main road, apartment was set back off the main road on side street <50 meters away, I found the apartment quiet, street was well lit with other hotels opposite so very safe. Fantastic host provided a superb service yet not intrusive and the food from his restaurant was yum. Main attractions and tram line were 10 mins walk from the apartment all in the same direction. He also arranged our transport back to the airport at a reasonable cost in comparison to the local and Internet taxi firms

Excellent location, walking distance to the Blue Mosque and Hague Sofia Mosque. Clean Apartment and a very helpful host, who went outside his way to help, organized the transfer to the Airport Also visit his resturant, excellent food, reasonably priced.

Everything was good. Cannot really fault accommodation, value for money or location. All very good.

Excellent location, simple but clean facilities very close to blue mosque and haghia Sofia, 10 minute walk at very good price. Clean rooms and good beds and nice hot shower and also small kitchen/dining area and washing machine. Also very accommodating and friendly host Abu Zerr who also runs a nearby restaurant that does good food at a fair price. Helped us with taxi to airport and gave advice about excursions. Nice quiet neighbourhood off the main road. Good cafes and other shops including supermarket within yards.

Abuzer is a very nice and helpful person. His restaurant is amazing, the foods are fantastic. We always recived some fruits or baklava after lunch or diner. The apartman house is in great location.

Everything was amazing

Owner is so nice and kind and generous, he gave us free things every time we ate at his restaurant, baclava, juice, tea and he helped us not get scammed with taxi. He called an taxi for us and took us 600 lira instead of 1000. The food at his restaurant is so delicious. By walk you get to everything you want in Istanbul from this place, there is a 10 minute walk to Sultanahmet, 15 minutes to grand bazzar etc.

I must say its remarkable stay. Every thing was up to mark. Area, all attraction are just at walking distance. Food , shops are all very close. People were very friendly. And last talk about the owner Abu, he is remarkable person. Very simple ,kind , humble , helpful, cooprative. I have no words for him. He has resturant as well Turko Baba fresh food and exilent service. Its worth to stay here. I spend two weeks there and i felt like staying my home. I strongly recommend .I will always stay at Turko Baba.

One of the nicest people I've ever met Calm and helpful He even offered IFTAR in the first day for me and my family as it was Ramadan I was in the first floor.. 3 bedrooms with 3 big beds and 1 small bed.. The beds are big and comfy... The place is clean I absolutely loved it... And I'll be back there in the future.. When looking for the hotel... In the map app look for TURKO BABA RESTAURANT.. The apartment is above it...and try the restaurant.. The food is delicious.

I can not tell you how much all three of us as guests enjoyed staying at this place, its location is perfect we could walk to just about any place we wanted to see within minutes. A previous guest mentioned a bad smell in the bathroom winch is true but that was only due to the place was closed and has not been used for a while all I did to take care of the smell is start using the rest room and pour more water and that's IT. One night the brand new hot water boiler system stopped working, I called the owner and he came to fix it even late at night he spent hours tried hard and since he could not fix it! he immediately called the dealer to come to fix it. I woke-up in the morning around 9:00AM and the hot water problem was already taken care off. The person that owns or manages the property is very nice, he was a big help to us we asked him a few times where to go to certain locations and he did not only show us directions he walked with us to the places we were looking for I really, could not believe it. The owner also owns a small restaurant within 50 meters away and we ate at his place a few times the food was delicious and the price was very affordable comparing to other restaurants nearby. On our last day in Istanbul we asked him where we can buy a suite case and asked me to wait a few minutes he came back in less than 10 minutes rolling a nice suitcase, he gave me a very nice suitcase I asked him how much he said “it is free” and when we needed a taxi to go to the airport he made reservation for all three of us and again the price was affordable. The name of the appartment cannot be seen anywhere when you go to the location. You will find it like "Turko baba" restaurant. First day it was a bit cold (15th February), but all other days it was heated great. The appartment need also some renovation (walls) and some of the furniture need to be updated as wel(fridge) but it seems like that host is working on this. The heating is not on electricity but gas (I think). Also the cooker was working the same way. All was good working, just different compared to other countries in Europe..

Location was great. A lot of attractive locations were pretty close. The host was also kind and helpful and he guided us to find the parking place (there is a private parking 6-7 minutes walking). The apartment was well heated and there was always hot water. The beds were OK comfortable.

The place was very small and the bathroom on our room (top floor) smelled really bad all the time. The bathroom had mold also. This was a problem with other rooms on the same floor too, didn't check to see if the other floors had the same issue. The view was just another wall of the building next door, approximately 3-4 meters away and the kitchen didn't exist, we thought there was a kitchen, even wrote to the owner to make sure, he didn't answer.

The host was very polite and helpful. He waited for us even though we arrived at 00:45, even helped with carrying our laguage to the room. Also the heating system was good.
