Location in the centre of Istanbul with excellent view at Golden horn. Hotel does not provide breakfast, but there are many places, where one can find it, hotel staff provides necessary information. Historical centre of the city is 15 minutes away by tram (four stops).

We absolutely loved our stay at The Union Hotel. The staff were the friendliest people and made our stay here so much more special. The room is spectacular. We had an unobstructed view of the Bosphorous river and Yeni Cami and Eminönü Meydanı mosque. Just gorgeous. We even had coffee served to us when we would return back to the hotel sometimes. A huge thank you to Kasim, Ahmed and Ahmed from the staff for helping us out so much. If I ever return to Istanbul, would love to stay here again. Highly recommend!

A chair with backrest would have been great to make working at the small desk more comfortable.

Staff was extremly friendly and very responsive. There was a great relationship to me as a guest and also to other guests as far as I can value it from the distance. A welcome drink as well as a small farewell gift underpinned the kindness. Room was basic but very clean and sufficient. The location is very nice and central. Consider it is at the main street so that it is therefore naturally louder.

The hotel faces a road so it's a little bit noisy. Facilities like air conditioners and wifi can be improved Don't provide breakfast. But overall it worths the price!

Good location! A big window in your room and you can directly see the sea view! The room is clean. The staff are very nice and helpful. They can even call a taxi for you to the airport, and it's a fixed price and fair.

The walls to the neighbour room is very thin, you can hear them talking if they are a bit louder (like in our case). Weirdly the light of the other room was shining through on our ceiling and lid up the room a little bit at night. The hotel is next to a busy street, so if you are easily woken up by noise you might struggle to sleep

Absolutely stunning views. At night you can't get enough of watching the river and mosques on the other river side. Great hotel service, excellent cleaning service every day if you wanted it. We felt very welcome and comfortable!

We had read the reviews about being able to hear everything from the neighbouring room and went in prepared for this. It's definitely true, but doesn't affect the experience too much if you plan to be out most of the day and are a heavy sleeper. We were fine. Carry earplugs if you're a light sleeper. The small lift isn't an issue at all, don't know why so many people felt the need to mention it. You and your luggage will fit, it works and is fast. Really a non-issue unless you're travelling in a large group, and even then, not the end of the world to have to go up in two batches.

We stayed at Union Hotel for a whole 6 days in Istanbul and absolutely loved it. - Incredible views from the 8th floor and huge panoramic windows. Gorgeous at all times of day to overlook the river, mosques and architecture of the old city side. - Super clean rooms, exactly as pictured, simple, good showers, toilets with bidets, hot water. - Perfect location, walking distance to Galatta (uphill!), trams, the ferry pier, waterside, and even Sultanahmet if you're up for a 30 min walk. Without being overwhelming or too touristy. It felt like coming home each evening. - Very warm and pleasant staff, which was a refreshing change given the rest of the city. They were lovely and really helpful, including with supporting on sending out our postcards since post offices were closed over Eid. Tip: If you're not up for a walk to the Galatta area cafés for breakfast, the restaurant next door (Galaktos) does very tasty and not tooo expensive breakfasts as well.

Everything was fine. The hotel is on the busy road, but the windows are good and they provide sound-proof that allows sleep.

Everything was great. Location is very convenient, it is near tram, bus stations and port. In addition, it is in the middle of the bazar with technical things, so as a vistior you also get some non-touristic atmosphere, which is really nice. Staff is very kind, they even provided me with help and support when I had some personal troubles. The room was specious and clean. Views are also amazing. So, basically great experience. I would recommend it and would love to stay here again when back in Istanbul.

It's next to the main street which didn't worry me but I see how that can be a turn off for some. I used a pair of earplugs to muffle the noise from the outside just in case, and got a very good night sleep.

It is so simple to greet like they do, and yet not many hotel staff (at least in the low to mid-range price) do it. This team is awesome - they are helpful, caring and ready to assist you with what you need. The hotel itself has a convenient location, the rooms are comfortable, too.

The bedroom was pretty spacious. However, as we were given the first floor and it was a little noisy with the traffic noises, even when the windows were closed. Also the plumbing or sewage system on the first floor is not really good, as every time someone staying above us flushes the toilet, we could hear and smell it as well. Apart from that, we had an enjoyable time at Union Hotel Karakoy. 😄

We arrived early and was able to check in 3hours earlier. The staff were amazing, have to say a big thanks to Qasim, Ahmed and Ismail, who made us felt really welcome and our stay awesome. You can't get better service from anywhere else. It's amazing that for a new hotel like Union, they have thought of everything, like full range of toiletries (shampoo, conditioner, body wash and lotion), good minibar selection, a safe and the ability to control the temperature in the rooms. Some of the big named hotels we stayed in before didn't even offered the basics like shampoo, conditioner or body lotion. Location was in the heart of an electronics industry sector, where you can see the hustle and bustle of the locals working, it was also within walking distance to Galata Tower and the ferry, train and tram stops. We really enjoyed the hotel stay and will definitely come back again in the near future. On our last day here, the staff were kind enough to give us a small token to remember our stay in Istanbul 😊.

The best place to be with an amazing view! It's close to everything, foot walk close to Galata Tower, to Grand Bazar and even Haga Sophia. The staff in the hotel was incredible, super friendly and helpful. We will definitely come back! Thank you for the great hospitality:)
