This is a beautiful historical building, more than 150 years old, made with marble and wood, full of antique stuff inside, so basically it’s a museum. There was a beautiful onyx bathroom and the historical paintings of the street the hotel is located on. The location is the most perfect in Sultan Ahmet district you can imagine! The Aya Sophia and the Sultan Ahmet park is just in front of the hotel. Also it’s a very quiet place to sleep at night!

The location is really good, close to Hagia Sophia, Blue Mosk and the Palace. We managed to visit all three of them in one day and also do a cruise along the Bosphorus that had the starting point a chiosque right in from of Hagia Sophia. The staf is really friendly and the breakfast is taken on the roof that has a really nice view of Hagia Sophia and the sea. If you come by car, they will offer you free parking in front of the hotel.

This is the best boutique hotel in Istanbul! Location is perfect, I had a view of Hagia Sophia from the room. It is gorgeously designed! Very tastefully and vintage. I landed around midnight and there was No Free Welcome Water. I needed warm water to take some meds and the Electric Kettle was missing. A Qibla Marking on the roof can help with prayers direction.

Overall a great experience however there is a scope for improvement. The Staff is very friendly and I will stay again at this location only because of these wonderful people who are employed here. Rooftop Breakfast prepared with love by RAMADAN will be missed.

booking.com advertise that the hotel as a bar and restaurant, this is not so they only have breakfast facilities. i have mobility issues that is the reason i booked this hotel so i would not have to go walking about looking for places to eat. was disapointed for this reason everything else was fine

No tea making faculties in the room. Would have loved a bath - however these were our only two beefs.

Bit of an Agatha Christie 1930s feel about it all which we adored. The view of Palace Sofia was a bonus. It was well placed to walk to everywhere. the room was clean and comfortable. Great shower but would have liked a separate faucet shower to complement the overhead drench.

Internet, tv set,the huge noise from the street,impossible to sleep with open windows,the poor breakfast menu,the bathroom barn style sliding door(no intimacy of the bathroom, there is a gap between the wall and the door, no big difference if opened or closed!!!), the tv system did not work - the remote control missing batteries cover. I asked for another one- didn't happen. There was no toilet brush! I have stayed before at this hotel.This time I asked for a room with a normal bathroom door, but I did not get it! The internet worked a few hours a day. I had to reset the router myself on the hallway, no luck. I had to work and send files over internet- no luck.

No shelf in shower to stand any shower/hair gels/soap. Upon arrival for 3 nights (booked in April and checked) was told we would have 1 room for 1st night and another room for 2 nights. Explanation- new booking procedure! This was remedied after our 1st night and we were upgraded to a large room to compensate.
