Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

TaiwanEverything was great.
We were at this hotel when the earthquake hit Hualien. We were very impressed with the staff and the professional way they handled the whole situation. The rooms were good sized and comfortable. We were happy to find out that they had a supper offer from 8:00-10:00pm and the added bonus of having washing machines and dryers without extra charge made the name of the hotel so fitting. We made use of the all day cafe where we could sit and discuss what we were going to do because the roads to the North were closed. We decided to stay one more night and enjoy the excellent hospitality.

SingaporeBreakfast options could be improved.
The hotel is located near the train and bus station - which was great for our travel plans to Taroko Gorge. We found the room to be very clean and comfortable. Free coffee and snacks are available to guests in the afternoon.

AustraliaNot really.
Good, high quality hotel. Staff were efficient and courteous. There are free ice cream cones in the cafe area. The room was well equipped, quiet and comfortable. A carpeted hallway kept down the noise. The hotel is an easy walk from the station and there are many nearby hotpot restaurants. Breakfast buffet was wide ranging, although not much Western food. Best of all was the free dinner from 8pm on the first night you stay - an excellent Chinese buffet.

United StatesThe staffs are nice and pleasant. Room is clean. The location is great, a few minutes walking distance away from the train station. What are the special features are (1) free washes and dryers (2) free bikes (3) besides free breakfast, they offer free dinner with decent quality and variety, which I have never seen elsewhere. We rented our bikes, wandering through the city and beachfront, and returned to the hotel. Took a shower and went to the dinner buffet after taking a rest. What a lovely day.

It was nice that the hotel offered nice buffet for breakfast and supper. We could also help ourselves to tea and ice-cream during the day. The hotel was also conveniently located.

United StatesWalking distance to train and bus stations which is very helpful if you're using Hualien as a base for exploring Taroko National Park. Dongdamen night market is a quick bus ride away with the local bus stop right down the road. Or you could borrow bikes from the hotel! Breakfast buffet was a good size with some vegetarian options available and clearly labeled. We were also surprised to find that the hotel provides light afternoon snacks and tea, a full supper buffet, and a 24hr ice cream station! The extra calories were very much appreciated as we were doing a lot of hiking in this area. Self service laundry facilities were very helpful for this reason as well. I was pleasantly surprised how many washers and driers were available for guests. Staff was very kind and offered us an upgrade to our room which was spacious, clean, and comfortable.

United StatesThere is no dislike - everything is perfect.
Good value, great location, and excellent breakfast would be the summary of my review. It was a great surprise that I found this Taiwanese hotel chain. The location is great - only 2 blocks from Hualien Train Station and one block from the car rental. The hotel offers surface and underground parking space (not mechanical), which is very convenient. The hotel room has many amenities that are reflecting the hotel’s detail-orientated minds. For example, they offered two different sets of Shower Gel, Shampoo, and Conditioners - one is floral and the other more masculine. There are pouches of milder cleanser for other’s needs. The hotel also has “night snack time” that offers crackers, cookies, ice creams, etc. The breakfast is magnificent. It even offers ice cream!! I will definitely book with this hotel chain if I visit Taiwan in the future.

AustriaEverything perfect in this hotel, starting with staff: all sectors, receptionists, restaurant/bar staff, housekeeping. Not only friendly and helpful but really efficient and supportive. Room was impeccably clean (no carpets but modern flooring!) and quiet despite central location (two minutes walk to the railway station). Service was excellent despite high affluence due to tourist groups and weekend. Complimentary, rich supper buffet and afternoon snacks including a well groomed ice-cream bar plus coffee/tea/juices for free. Ample choice for breakfast, both western and eastern style. A heartfelt recommendation if you stay in the area!

Hotel room was quiet and clean. Bed was comfortable and toilet facilities were all working well. Breakfast spread was good. Hotel even provide supper from 8 to 10pm Location was within a short walking distance to the Hualien train station
