Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomWifi was unstable; I could not even watch Youtube constantly. Also, I could hear all my neighbours' opening and closing doors, people moving from upstairs, next to me and outside the room. I would recommend to people who don't mind the noise or internet connection.
The location was amazingly good, right next to the exit of MRT station. The room was clean and tidy, and also the facilities in the room were all very good. The hotel staff were very helpful and friendly, and the cleaning staff were very responsive and did a great job in maintaining the area spotlessly clean.

ChinaThe hotel is a bit rundown, and the room itself is not 100% clean (there's a lot of dust around the corner, especially the curtains). Also, the room we booked was for 3 people, but it's not big enough for 3 adults. The bed is smaller than what we expected (compared to the photos listed on the site).
I like how close the hotel is to the taipei metro. Which makes it easier to go around taipei. The hotel staff are also kind and accommodating.

Germanythe catastropical scenario starts here in this hotel. I checked in at afternoon: outside 13 degreess; room: 16 degreees, windows open. I started aircon and closed windows: after 1 hour: ==17 degrees. Another one hour later: == 17 degrees, I claimed at reception the aircon: They told: maybe you have a problem with signs reading - we will send some staff: 10min later a girl arrived and said: "everything ok... but maybe you need to wait -- the sensor!" 6PM: ==17 degrees - I claimed again in reception - they told: oh sorry Sir, its late now ... someone will check the aircon on monday" I replied: =="there is no monday for me/ even no tomorrow - I will be dead or freezing at night!" They told: ok - but currently we cannot help you, all rooms fully booked and nobody can check your room. The only thing i can do - is to handover you a 1500 Watt fan heater, you can put in your room. ...=== this was the only chance to improve the situation a little bit; but get just one corner of the room to ==19 degrees as the windows not proper insulated and wind was blowing in like hell. Bathroom still at 16 degrees. 22, 23,24 o´clock + 2 + 3 AM: 18 to 19 deg at 1 corner. I get sick in the eveniing/ overnight and need to change my plans, as I felt fever and competely down and headache and cought and cold and .... I found a farmacy around 300meter from hotel - chef was laughing about my hotel and gave me extra portion of drugs - for a better sleep. I booked an extra fligth immediatly for ++1000 Dollar and organized a taxi to airport to try to leave Taiwan as fast as possible; the connected Service from booking was with me all the time and convinced the hotel director to pay me back my hotel price and to pay the taxi and the 1000 Dollar flight to my country. Finally I got 300 TWD Dollar back as a re-charge, which is around 8 USD. I was sick for 5 weeks and lost additional 14300 Dollar in payments.
I went to Taipeh for a 10 days sightseeing-tour.... and then on saturday -======
