This was a very pretty property and the room was beautiful. It’s set at the foothills of a mountain that made the whole view pretty awesome. May (the host) was especially amazing helping us with our itinerary and plans. She goes out of her way to make the guests feel welcome and comfortable. The breakfast was superb too! The location is great and is just 10 minutes by drive from Taroko national park.

The guest house is somewhat isolated, so it would be better to have your own vehicle. We walked to "town" one evening for dinner, and found a nice little restaurant located in the otherwise dreary town just north of the Taroko Bridge. But it was quite a long and unpleasant walk along the highway. Other restaurants are located across the bridge in Xincheng or further away in Hualien. Taxi service is quite limited.

This is more like a country inn, complete with friendly cats, chickens, rabbits and other critters. We did not have a vehicle, instead arriving by train to Xencheng from Taipei. The hosts were very welcoming, even picking our group of 8 up at the Xincheng railroad station, which required him to make two trips. On the 2nd day, the host kindly drove some of us to the Visitor's center of Taroko National Park. Breakfast was included, and was ample, delicious and nutritious. The facility includes a large covered patio on the 2nd floor, which we used for one of our dinners. The location is quiet, and conveniently located near the park entrance.

We had a wonderful stay at this B&B. Run by a lovely couple who were very friendly and welcoming. Daro picked us up from the train station, even after a change to our arrival time. May was at the B&B to greet us and assist with planning our day at Taroko Gorge. Very clean and tidy accommodation and a fab breakfast. Highly recommend.

There was no place to get food easily nearby when we checked in around dinner time. Fortunately, we called ahead and found this out before we arrived so we were able to pick up dinner on our way over.

My family of 4 stayed in Room 202 on the second floor with mini yellow couches at the foot of the two beds and a triangular shaped tub shower. My FIL stayed in Room 205 with the mosquito netting over the one bed and a standing shower. Room 202 is very spacious and has a round table with 4 chairs. The B&B does not have small face washing cloths, which was not a big deal but something to take note of for those who are accustomed to using one. The bathroom had shower gel and shampoo but no conditioner or lotions. There is a sign posted to tell you not to flush toilet paper. We forgot our toothpaste, and the owner provided us with free packaged sets that came with a toothbrush and a tiny tube of toothpaste. If you do not have Google Translate, make sure to get instructions on how to use the remotes for the TV & AC and toilet features from the owner. There were free water bottles and snacks for each person staying in the rooms which was much appreciated. My FIL slept well in Room 202 and mentioned that he liked how the AC did not blow directly on him but still kept the room at a comfortable temperature. There is not much of a view from the either rooms, but the shared outdoor patio space around the corner has excellent views and a foosball table that my family enjoyed playing. We ordered western style breakfast and were very pleased with what was served. For peanut allergy, the owner provided yogurt in place of the assorted nuts. There was unlimited milk, soy milk, orange juice, coffee, tea and water. I noticed that there was also cereal available at the beverage counter. Even with the B&B being almost full, we did not have any issues with noise and we were able to enjoy an early breakfast and the outdoor spaces on our own. My kids loved all the pets that the owners let them feed and play with- 2 birds, 3 cats, 1 dog, and 3 bunnies.
