Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomI requested to change beds a few times but was denied for no clear reason. I had a dorm room bed opposite the door, the fire exit light was a little bright whilst I was trying to sleep
Excellent facilities, amazing value for money considering the spa and free breakfast

SingaporeSince it’s in the basement there is no lift. Have to carry up and down your luggages. There is also lifter for the luggage if needed
It has sauna and onsen services. Strategic location between Kaohsiung main station and Meilidao station. Provides breakfast. There’s another branch just nearby Kaohsiung main station.

United StatesThe whole hostel is located in a basement, so there isn’t any natural light and the ceilings are a little low in reception . ( not a problem since you are just going there to sleep though !) The shower and pool area could’ve been cleaner. Because the area is so moist, they do have a couple of dehumidifiers set up , but there was a lot of peeling paint on the ceiling…looked like it was ready to fall down. Sadly, I didn’t think to take a picture … Only one outlet for one device in the rooms Checkout is earlier than most hostels …10am . But you can extend it to 11 AM if you pay 100NT or leave a five star review.
The men’s and women’s areas were completely separated the moment you enter off reception. The hallways to the privates and dorms are really spacious so it doesn’t feel cramped. The showers and bathrooms also felt more spacious than other hostels and the added bonus was that they had a sauna room as well as a heated pool. The hostel is located in the basement, so I think this allowed the facilities to be a little larger than a regular hostel, which was nice. Breakfast was ok too! Congee and toast options . Room was comfortable Oh and they had comfortable pajamas !

GermanyPrivat room was not really privat since the wall is not fully closing. You can hear everything from the hallway and could have a phonecall or something. The sauna was not really hot and the spa area didn't invite to stay and relax
Value for the money was very fair deal. Everyone was friendly and it was clean.

The room and bathroom are clean. Air conditioner is also cool. The single room is not that big but not too small either, enough for one person and to put huge luggage. Toiletries and towel are provided so no need to worry

United KingdomThe room had a gap at the top so light from the corridor and sound from other rooms came through. They provide earplugs though and I used an eye mask. My room only had one plug outlet. Breakfast was quite simple, congee and bread and spreads but at least something.
The spa. Great facility with 4 pools with different temperature, sauna and steam room. Needed it after a long day sightseeing. The checkin staff was friendly and recommended me where I could buy a plug adapter. Room was clean. Sheets and towels were fresh.

United KingdomThe sinks & toilet facilities were all clean. The issue was the shower & bath area. More an issue with the molding and peeling of the ceiling & walls. Very unappealing & concerning, for health reasons.
I arrived with 2 cases, the entrance is on top of a large staircase. just as I was trying to figure out how to get my large bulky suitcase down the stairs the recpetionist had already come upsatirs to assist me. Same for when I checked out the staff automatically went to get my bag and help me take it up the stairs. The set up is big spacious and chill, and the berooms are compfy with enough space for opening & sorting suitcases.

ArgentinaNot the hotel's fault, it might have been a one time thing but the ambience in the onsen was to say the least, seedy. I only went once during my 2 day stay and I saw some naughty behavior from some of the guests. Unless that's your thing I wouldn't choose this place based on the onsen.
Love the concept. You get your privacy with your mini room and still pay hostel prices. Breakfast was ok. One of the selling points for me was the included onsen (hot and cold pool, sauna) but that came with unexpected extras.

GermanyThere is a big gap at the top of the room so you could hear everything. Like EVERYTHING. The night bevor leaving a guy next to me packed his things at 00.30 am and waked up everybody... You can feel every spring in the matress....
The Spa Area was really nice and helped to relax after a long day. There are multiple pools with different watertemperatures. From ice-cold to super-hot. Super good value for your money and close to the station.

JapanThe room was smaller than expected and the photos gave me the mistaken impression that it was bigger.
The breakfast was a standard Taiwanese style breakfast, with rice porridge, preserved vegetables, and some fruits. I would have hoped for some protein source like nuts and eggs too, since I don't really eat a lot of carbs.

JapanThe bathroom was separate from the bedroom, and my room was way smaller than in the pictures advertised.
They were relatively well-ventilated, and the bathrooms were well-maintained. There was also an onsen for the guys, although it was busy mostly. Breakfast was basic, so it would be better if the menu was more varied.

PhilippinesThe property is hard to find, but it’s forgivable because the amenities outweighs the negative.
The main advantage of this property is the onsen-like amenities for guests who want to relax. The location is also within a city center, so it’s not a problem roaming nearby tourist places. The property has a big common area which is excellent for travelers who work.
