Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

PolandApart of beautiful lodges localized in the Moshi suburbs, this hotel seems to be the one of the best localized in the city center of the town. Rooms proposed by the hotel has a very different sizes. Bathroom in the rooms and breakfast buffet are basic but nothing is missing. We were extremely satisfied about the service. Everyone was very helpful and kind. Nothing was a problem.

AustraliaThe restaurant was very slow . It took 2 hours to get food from order. Food itself was average for Tanzania. I did have one issue on late checkout. I was told $37 us would be the charge, but they tried charging me $80 US .
The hotel is in a great location for Moshi town, clean and comfortable. Easy to relax in

United KingdomHard to find a criticism really. The hotel uses a generator so that there is electricity even when the local supply fails. But the generator isn't strong enough to power the air conditioning and water heating all the time, so on one occasion I didn't have enough hot water. Hardly a major problem!
Staff were all just lovely. Breakfast was great, varied and served over 3 hours, and the evening menu is varied and the evening meals I had were delicious too. The room was huge, and quiet (my room overlooked the inner courtyard and swimming pool) even though the hotel is really close to the centre of town. Bonus is the fabulous view from the open top floor - of Moshi town and Kilimanjaro.

United States- First room we were given was on ground floor at front of building near where cars pull in. Can't recall room number, because we changed it quickly. It was not a nice room, not in a good state of repair when compared to our other two rooms. Small, beat-up refrigerator, noisy from street traffic, etc. AVOID. - Breakfast choices were limited due to our tastes and their selection. Eggs every morning, toast, fruit, and beans. Few other choices were not appetizing for breakfast. I was told on more than one occasion, that their juice served was made from bottled water, but the two times I drank it, my stomach/bowels paid the price. - The restaurant staff properly wore masks 10% of the time. Mostly it was absent or worn down under the chin. I had to repeatedly gesture to the young serving lady to pull her mask up to cover her nose and mouth. - English-speaking TV channels very limited. - Internet very spotty and slow. Too often we lost connection. Could be due to bad service being provided to the hotel, itself. Noticed infrastructure is weak elsewhere in the places and cities we stayed. - Chaotic process of securing luggage and valuables when climbing Kili.
- The location was convenient for taking a walk to local streets for restaurants, stores, shops, and market. - The grounds are kept nicely and provide a very pleasant space for guests and nice work environment. - The manager is friendly, polite, and seems generally concerned about the guests experience. - We had two different styles of rooms. One (G2) was ground level, a little tight for two people with much luggage required for Kilimanjaro climb. The other (102) was very spacious, providing ample room for all of the Kili equipment and luggage one is bringing to Tanzania. Just a much more comfortable room. - Swimming pool and ping-pong table provided us with fun activities to enjoy during relaxed moments. - Hotel staff were friendly and helpful. - The hotel staff was advised of my wife's birthday, and surprised her with a birthday cake and song. One of the staff provided me with the video and stills they took, as well. Very nice. - Felt reasonably at ease when storing luggage and valuables at hotel during 8 days climbing Kili. Process needs work, however.

New ZealandThe shower was not hot, the shower curtain was not long enough so water got on the floor, they did conststuction during the day so the room was load, the room was not sound proof so I heard all of road noise and and someone watching a football match. The tolet was also missing the button to flush it. The a/c also periodically stopped. There was also a power outage for about 3 minutes after which the hotel turned some of the breakers.
The room was very large and clean.

United KingdomGeneral feeling that no-one was really checking the place over to maintain quality of service. For example no toilet paper, table tennis bats broken (how difficult would it be to fix that), rooms not sprayed in the evening (you had to ask- but no indication that this was their system), things running out at breakfast and no-one seemed on top of it.
Helpful staff and pool was lovely and rooms were large with fantastic view of Mt Meru

United States- Most staff were not using masks, and that is a big problem for those trying to stay and keep people safe. - Room (G2) was on the small side, especially for guests having many bags for Kili climb. - Breakfast selection needs to be improved. Not much variety - considering the clientele is western. - One bottle of water provided in the room for 2 people is insufficient.
- Swimming pool was nice. Needed to ne skimmed and vacuumed, however. - Ping-pong table is a fun addition for guests to use. We enjoyed it. - Location was convenient. - Grounds are tropical and provide pleasant space for guests.
