Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Saudi ArabiaThe walls were very thin, this meant whatever was happening outside the rooms seemed like it was in the room. The rooms were very basic too.
We stayed here because we were going Gorilla Trekking in the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest from 5:30am and our guide recommend we stay in Kabale. The views of the mountains were really beautiful and the listing seemed value for money. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We arrived at nearly 10pm and they sorted the rooms for us, even though we had a same day booking.

The Kigezi Garden Inn is situated on a hill, overlooking the town of Kabale, surrounded by tea fields. The view and gardens within the grounds are beautiful and well worth staying the night. The staff are friendly and helpful. Breakfast and dinner was simple but delicious. Town is a short walk down the hill, or you can hail a motorbike.

Fabulous staff at reception and housekeeping and manager. Lovely garden and views. Reliable hot water and electricity and Wifi (the manager gave me a router for my room which was great). Nice breakfast and enjoyed having it on my verandah
