Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesThere are a couple of amenities that I was looking for and missing: I figured they would offer spa-robes in the closets (nope) and the bathroom had no dim setting or night-light - so with the small couch and table in the room, made it difficult to navigate to the restroom in the dark without banging into furniture along the way. We had breakfast at the Savoy (historic restaurant, located off of the lobby) in the morning and were disappointed with weirdly slow service in an empty restaurant and good food spoiled by too much salt or sugar added, but great coffee.
The room was comfortable and well appointed. Maybe a little pricey for the space and amenities offered, but well located with friendly staff and an historic bar and restaurant space right off of the elevators on the ground level. We used this as our "base" during first fridays art showing just to the south of this location, and walked to the streetcar to the river market to do some christmas shopping in the morning. If you go, I recommend using the restrooms on the ground floor - very cool and interesting space.

United StatesEntrance hallway is visually impressive but leaves one confused if you are entering the right building.
The location is fantastic for those wanting to be downtown. Shortly after checking into the room we found issues with the air conditioning and internet. Upon contacting the front desk issues were addressed promptly. All interaction with staff was pleasant and accommodating.

United StatesThe beds were comfy, the building is charming, it was quiet, safe and clean. The catering (I was there on business) was EXCEPTIONAL.What sets 21cMuseum apart (other than the food) is the staff. Every single person (2 front desk girls, all valets, cleaning staff, event staff) was over the top friendly, polite and kind. So refreshing in our world today. Thank you so much for the lovely stay.

United StatesThe hotel is truly adorable. I love the concept so much, and wanted to have an amazing time, but it all felt a little … cheap. Everything in our room was broken. The AC was not working; thankfully our 6th floor window was missing a screw, so we asked for a box fan and sat it on the window sill. We had plans during the day and didn’t have time to switch rooms, especially since we already spent an hour while a very kind maintenance worker tried to fix it. The shower handle fell off and we had to kind of gently hold it to turn it on and then laid it on the soap holder. The smart TV was not working and when we asked for help with it, we were told they were having issues with TVs connecting to the internet. We specifically check hotels to see if they have smart TVs, otherwise we would have brought our Roku stick. There was absolutely nothing on basic cable to watch, not even a fun movie. I adored the exhibit, however, and did buy a Taylor Swift bracelet from the store. And I can’t say enough about the staff, they were very kind and apologetic.

AustraliaThat I didnt stay longer in Kansas City to explore the food culture.
Location. Extremely professional, courteous and friendly staff. Massive clean and comfortable bedding and rooms. Shower pressure great. Views great. 24 hour check in handy when you come in at midnight from a delayed train. Art deco impressive. Restaurant and bar attached to hotel delicious. Love the cocktails. Totally safe to stay here for a solo traveller. Up the road from Australian Bakery of you need a fix of vegemite and meat pies.

United StatesMy business partner and I were in town cleaning out an office and Kansas City to move it up to Duluth Minnesota. When we checked in the area that you walked in looked a little shabby. The individual is a checked us and we're not dressed professionally. The room was fine but I was expecting there to be some art because of the theme of the hotel but there was not art in the room or on the walls of the hallways on the third floor where we stayed. It was a Friday night and our room faced and abandoned parking lot where we parked our car. At about 2:00am it became very noisy outside and you could hear everything it was impossible to sleep. There are people yelling lots of honking and they had decided to run circles around an intersection to make tire marks, it sounded to me like they were trying to catch their tires on fire. I was worried that my vehicle, that it would be vandalized because when I looked out a window there was a person running around shining lights into all the cars. My car was not vandalized The noise continued and so finally at 3:45 I gave up and got up. I decided to go downstairs to get some work done so my business partner could sleep. I went into a lounge where I might be able to use my computer and was told that was the only space in the hotel where there was any space for me to work but it was incredibly messy from the night before with all kinds of bottles and cans empty pizza boxes and such lying around. The security guard offered to clean it and did clean off a few things. We did eat at the restaurant the night before and found that nice. But overall soundproofing the rooms would have helped a great deal as it's unfortunate to have a hotel stay where you cannot sleep. I was embarrassed that the place I had chosen was not a nice place to stay because I had let my business partner know that it would be a good experience.
The concert, and the restaurant. The penguins were hilarious.

United StatesThe parking is not exactly smooth to arrange. There are so many hoops to negotiate to even park. It could be less tortuous and involved. There is no assistance in negotiating this barrier.
Breakfast was as expected. The displayed art was enjoyable. It was on the walls in the lobby and on all the floors. The art was very interesting.
