Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

NetherlandsThe rooftop terrace on the 17th floor is empty. It is a missed opportunity.
Location is great, 10 mins walk to Times Square or Central Park. 5 mins walk from 5th Avenue and Wholefoods supermarket. 1 min to Starbucks and Subway. Room was big enough for the four of us. Breakfast is grab and go, I read that in the reviews before we arrived. Coffee/tea, 2 pastries and fruit. We took yoghurt from Wholefoods and made a full breakfast. The beds are comfortable. Big closetspace as well. No outside noise, great sleep. We were on the 16th floor. Would recommend!

NetherlandsSmall room, no chair. Window could not be opened. Breakfast was not that great. I think I paid too much for the room. Saw the prices of the hotel a few months after booking and prices were lowered by almost half.
Great location, friendly staff. Good shower. Tv worked great. Good cleanliness good sound isolation from the city streets.

GreeceStaff especially in the breakfast was not nice at all, specifically one lady, was rude! Breakfast was poor and we were only allowed 2 pieces of small bites (one muffin or one croissant) and if we asked for two pieces of the same food, we were not allowed to have it and the staff was rude about it.

United KingdomBreakfast was a very limited grab and go option and after paying a higher price which included breakfast, this was disappointing. The hotel is very tired and needs some TLC. I also spotted a cockroach in the lounge on my last day.
Location was good, housekeeping each day was good and WiFi was a nice bonus.

RomaniaWe chose this hotels because of location and included breakfast. But surprise, they don’t have breakfast during the weekend. They have a grab and go (pastries , croissants , muffins and fruits) from Monday to Friday. Out stay was also on Monday and they didn’t had anything to serve. :(

Portugalwhen i booked this hotel through booking, breakfast was included. when we arrived at the hotel, at reception we were told that breakfast was served from 7 to 10 am. The first day we went for breakfast around 8:30 am and there was nothing left to eat, just a few apples. as a result, breakfast was limited and often not enough for all the guests. breakfast consisted of 2 pieces of pastry per guest, plus coffee or tea and fruit, as the bananas disappeared quickly. i think it's disgraceful for a hotel to have this kind of service and say in the booking that breakfast is included. The truth is that every day around 8:30am/9am there was nothing left to eat. I suggest booking without breakfast because it's not worth it. the reception staff could be nicer to the guests

BrazilThe receptionists were not attentive. Extremely apathetic when dealing with us. Nothing friendly at our check-in. If it weren't for the location, value for money and the service provided by the guys with our bags, we would have had a bad impression of the hotel. The elevators are also old, but the only problem is a little delay when called. I believe it is due to the number of people staying.
The location is excellent. The person responsible for luggage on the ground floor, Mr Daniel, is extremely attentive and friendly. He made a point of asking us if we were satisfied with our stay and if we needed anything. He took very good care of our bags. Always with a smile on his face, giving us confidence and joy.

SpainThere was a loud construction sound next to our room and we couldn’t sleep properly for 3 nights. Then we had to request the hotel to move us to another room as it was getting too much. While they agreed, they were not very nice in their manner of speaking and kept showing as if they are doing us a favour. Would not recommend.

SpainThe location is great and everybody is very friendly and helpful. I have read a lot of negative comments regarding the breakfast, I instead think that the small one offered every morning (including week-end) is absolutely in line with the rates the hotel usually offers and it's good. Coffee, tea, muffins, croissant, fruits are available (of course early in the morning, as in most of hotels where breakfast is included) for all guests and it's a great plus to start the day, given the fact that a normal coffee in any other bar nearby would cost you 5$ at least! Those who expected a buffet breakfast or more should have booked somewhere else at different prices. The room are simply fine and ok for resting after the entire day out. The hotel is modest in all its service but good and and in very convenient location to visit the city.

PortugalIt was not bad enough that they advertise “breakfast” in the booking reservation but once you get there, it is not breakfast but rather a “grab and go”, where you only have access to 2 small pastries. On top of that, even with an established number of units per person, there were days we got there well within the “breakfast time” (7-10am) and nothing was left… this was very disappointing and upsetting.
The hotel has a great price vs quality ratio for NYC. Location and comfort were amazing. They also kept our bags until late afternoon and there is a rooftop.

United KingdomIt could do with some renovation especially the soundproofing in the room. We were on 15th floor, with a balcony which was amazing, but there were gaps between the door and the frame so it noisy. Obviously NYC / Manhattan is a busy and loud place.

PortugalThe requirements for having the complementary pastries and fruit should be improved as they range ran out very early and before the deadline hour.

AustriaOn booking the room is sold with breakfast. As a European, this means a buffet. However, the buffet was very simple. There was fruit and 2 sweet parts (max. 2 per guest), coffee and tea. If you come after 8:30 a.m. you get almost nothing and the buffet isn't refilled either. For this price it should be declared differently.

BelgiumI would say, the breakfast was disappointing, I know coffee in the states is not good so for that I can’t blame the hotel but the choice of food you have is quite small to my opinion compared to other hotels, you are limited to 2 small pastries for each guests which to me sounds a bit like when you go on a school trip. I am not the biggest eater but I took 2 pastries each time because one is not enough You have croissant, almond croissant and chocolate croissant (sometimes) and muffins and cinnamon pastries but they are small, you don’t have bread, butter and all or eggs, you have oranges, apples and pears, you have coffee cream and milk but no hot chocolate (I don’t really drink coffee in the states because I know it is just not good but in general so not really the hotel’s fault and that is why I was hoping for a chocolate beverage). If you choose a room with booking, I would say be careful because the room you see won’t always be the room you’ll have (in my case at least). My room was okay even tho it was a bit small but my mom and I only used it to eat dinner, take a shower and sleep so it was okay.
It’s location is GREAT, you’re 10/15 minutes away from Central Park, 5/10 minutes away from the fifth avenue, 15/20 minutes away from Times Square and Bryant park, 10 mins away from Grand Central station …. The bed was comfortable and the staff was really kind and nice and ready to help you. 2 good points : the rooftop and the fact that you can fill your bottle with some water whenever you want, hot or cold or mid and you can have ice cubes.

United StatesSaid they offered breakfast, but it was more like a snack, just some fruits and a muffin or croissant, which is okay, but would have been nice if it was clarified. Elevator was kind of slow. At one point we probably waited about 10min. (Where I decided to take the stairs 15 flights down).
Junior suite was very nice, spacious and accommodating. Beautiful view over the balcony. Clean. Staff was all very nice and friendly, helped with whatever you needed. We were able to store our bags there before and after check out. Easy to get to the subway on 59th.

PortugalBreakfast was awful! You can only pick two small pastries and a piece of fruit (apple or orange). Coffee is terrible! And that's it! End of breakfast! On the last day, we were locked out of our room at 11am. Check out was until 12pm.
Good location. Friendly people at the reception desk. Comfortable bed. AC in the bedroom.
