Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Loved the hotel. Great location downtown and you can walk to just about everything including the riverfront shopping and restaurants. The breakfast was really good. Hotel staff was friendly and the hotel was very clean. Rooms were bigger than I expected.

United StatesIt was not the hotel that I/we were upset with, but rather Booking.com. Of the two (2) rooms booked, confirmed and paied for, the hotel received only confirmation for ONE (1) room. We had to pay the hotel directly for the 2nd room needed for our party. Furthermore, Booking.com NEVER acknowledged or replied to my messages. Trying to phone Booking.com was impossible as the calls NEVER went beyond an automated sorry we are busier than usual, please try again later!!! This was the 1st and LAST time I or any of my family will use Booking.com!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We also were comped breakfast the following morning because of the trouble! The breakfast is very good here.

United StatesRoom was a bit small compared to what we are used to. The full-length mirror wasn't positioned properly and there wasn't any dressers for us to use. The clothes storage space was compacted with the empty fridge and coffee maker. We didnt take pictures of the room because it wasnt note worthy. The lobby was nice though.
The staff was top notch! Very helpful with suggestions and the valet people were great! Everyone was friendly and accommodated our requests.

United StatesThe only think I didn’t care for was the breakfast option. While our waitress was absolutely amazing I was disappointed in what was offered. But, it was super close to great bars and restaurants!
The hotel was extremely clean and was very nice. Beds were comfy and staff was absolutely great! Great experience!
