Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Excellent service, rooms are comfortable and well appointed. The vibe in the hotel is good, but ultimately this is a bit of a dead area of town, so the hotel can only do so much.

United StatesIt would have been very helpful to have a small coffee maker and supplies in the room. Also, some premium channels on the TV would have provided us with some easy in-room entertainment after a busy day exploring Brooklyn.
The front desk staff, especially Geneva, was outstanding. They really helped us with restaurant suggestions and a different room when we were not totally pleased with our original room. We were also impressed with the quality and variety of their other guests...a very professional crowd.

United StatesI think that coffee in the room is a must. The coffee downstairs doesn’t open until 7:00. There is a kettle in the room so why not get some trendy instant coffee packs? Any coffee is better than no coffee and I leave before 7 for work. Please consider this. Please put some coffee In The room or offer anything before 7:00

United KingdomThe location is good for transport links - Manhattan 15 mins but subway and easily walk to other areas of Brooklyn but we didn’t find loads in the specific area that we were going to!
Nice room - smallish but it’s New York so we were expecting that. The hotel has a good atmosphere with things going on and the bar / lobby nice to relax in. Bathroom beautifully finished and clean - also on the small side but perfectly adequate!

United StatesThat I couldn't get into the restaurant on Sunday morning. Hostess said all the tables were booked ul but plenty of tables are available. At least ask how long we planned on sitting for.
The energy of the staff is infectious. Very nice and helpful. Check in was effortless. Rooms are comfortable and spacious.

Location is great with super easy access to subway ! Neighborhood is nice. Brooklyn bridge is within a reasonable walking distance. The restaurant and the bar are both fantastic too.

United StatesThe little light in my room entry way didn’t work. The overhead lights are all on dimmers except for the large hanging light which is the only one that really needs a dimmer. That means room is either slightly too dark or wayyy too bright.
Every time i have stayed the rooms have been clean, comfortable and relatively quiet. The staff is exceptional. Every single person from housekeeping to front desk to food service is wonderful, truly. Helpful, kind friendly and accommodating. The lobby lounge and garden is beautiful and peaceful and well-designed
