Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesRoom lights not well coordinated. Bathroom light not isolated from rest of room. Got warmer in room at night so must be on a monitor of sort regardless of how you set room temp. Sheets poor quality in my opinion kept getting tangled up in them.
Convenience. All staff, front desk, valet, very nice and friendly. Plenty of pillows, very nice view of city.

United StatesMy room 822 faced the pool. It was awkward. I couldn’t open the blinds or people could see my room so it had to be completely dark. For this level there should be sheer curtains as an option for light and privacy.

United StatesRooms were TOO barebones for the price. No qtips/toiletries, no daily cleaning so would've liked bigger garbage cans or trash liners with drawstrings as an alternative. Would've like a small, non rolling chair with arms esp in a ADA room. Room upon arrival had 2 flying bugs(no open windows/doors in room), something that resembled dried boogers in top of shower) no luggage racks. Killed both bugs prior to leaving.
Location Staff was friendly and helpful. , Bed/bedding were comfortable but lacked weight-had to request blankets-staff happy to comply. Valet Nick and the woman on Wednesday were extremely nice and helpful.

United StatesI didn't like that they didn't have free parking, only vale for 20$ a night. And gave us wrong information about the street parking.
I liked the hotel's location - it is within walking distance to restaurants and shops. The front desk was very friendly and helpful. The room was big and nice.

United KingdomI am being picky here. Parking is either Valet, on the street (restricted) or a 5-10 min walk from the hotel. But at $20/night I doubt you would be cheaper using public parking (plus the Valet Guys are brilliant). There was no restaurant in the hotel but Main Street and the surrounding area is full of places to eat for breakfast, lunch or dinner.
The location of the hotel was less than a 5 min walk from Main Street and the Marina so if you want to see Sarasota and experience the boat tours etc this is an excellent choice of hotel. Staff were very friendly, helpful, always had a smile and are a credit to the company. Absolutely nothing to fault about the stay.

GermanyCleanliness of the rooms. Rooms are cleaned every second day and not done very well. We found dead bugs and used wine bottles from the prior guests.
Great location! Friendly staff, especially for valet parking.

HungaryIn the last room opening onto the pool, you can hear the sound of the pool machinery. It's technically impossible to sleep from it. The prepaid breakfast is very poor. The window air conditioner hums inside the room.
The location is very good, restaurants and the marina are easily accessible.

United StatesWe could hear much of what was happening around us while in the room. For example, if any room around us flushed a toilet we could hear the flush but I imagine the other patrons could hear that from our room as well. However, when the AC kicked on or if we put the sleep timer on the TV we couldn't hear anything.
We very much liked the location, especially for the cost. The staff was incredibly friendly and check-in/check-out was quick and easy. The size of the room and location of the hotel more than met our expectations given our plans to be out and about most of the day.

United StatesThis hotel is very noisy. I was originally on the seventh floor on my first night in hotel. I barely slept due to the sound of constant air coming through exposed air ducts. I was moved to the second floor for the remainder of our stay, but it was still noisy. The bathroom door needed to be kept shut in order for the constant air noise not to drive us crazy.
The hotel is conveniently located to many bars and restaurants. The hotel lobby had a nice vibe.
