Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesPrepare to be charmed!. From the moment we walked in until departing the treat of being hosted by Always Inn owner, and master chef Freda, amounted to an enchanting holiday, with service for a king, queen, and a four legged fur baby. We couldn't recommend any better. Carlo and Charlo.

United StatesThe breakfast was fantastic, obviously prepared by a trained chef. Only negative was I couldn’t eat it all because there were so many courses! No problem though, Freda provided disposable storage containers and I enjoyed the leftovers the following day!

United Stateswhen parking behind the house it looked a bit cluttered.
The host Freda is welcoming, and she makes a great breakfast! The inside of the home is quirky. It provides an eclectic collection of art, various collectible items -with tags attached, funky furniture, fresh baked cookies, 20+hot sauces, hot water for tea, and comfortable bedrooms. I believe it has 3 guest rooms- ours had our own bathroom.

United StatesThe ceiling fan had one speed, very slow, so it was a bit warm most of the night. no air conditioning as far as we could tell but that’s not unusual for beach towns.
Fairly quiet location at night . Close to shops, restaurants and free trolley that took us to the pier and the outlets mall. Nice breakfast with fruit, pastries, egg dishes and good coffee. If you went hungry it was your own fault for not eating enough.

Feda was wonderful and cooked a great breakfast. She was very accommodating and friendly and went out of her way to welcome us and our dog..even to the point of cooking up some organic hamburger as a treat for our dog.

United StatesI’m going to keep this simple and to the point. If you enjoy checking in to a comfortable secure room and a clean establishment than do yourself a favor and book somewhere else. If you are the hippy type and don’t mind filth or just laziness than this is your place. If you are 50+ and value your life or valuables book somewhere else. She never cleans up anything. Don’t eat the breakfast… Laundry littering the hallway, broken beds, food left in freezer in room. Jewelry bag went missing and magically it was “found” in a trash can… If you really hate someone and plan on breaking up with them than this is your place.

United StatesThe city's incomprehensible start time (7:00 AM) of construction noise that impacted the entire neighborhood, not just Always Inn. Also, because of the ideal location of this B & B, sometimes traffic noise was often loud.
Freda is a most wondrous hostess! She greeted us warmly and provided many helpful ideas and courtesies for our first-time stay in San Clemente. She's also a fabulous cook as each breakfast was a fantastic meal! The location was ideal for getting around, especially being just a block away from the free San Clemente Trolley; everything else was within walking distance. Yes, we would highly recommend Always Inn--we'll return as soon as we can arrange it!

United Statesbedroom/ bathroom a little small but had everything, and furniture very good for putting things out of the way.
charming furnishings, beautiful patios/garden, delicious breakfast, and the owner is a very caring, helpful and interesting person. A great location for town. we only walked to beach (3 blocks) once because coming back is all uphill, but there is a free town shuttle available, though we chose to drive the other days. An easy 1 minute drive.

United StatesThe breakfast was fantastic as well as the joy Freda is to be around! From the fresh fruit, to the pastry to the fantastic chicken frittata. Her seasoning is home made and to die for! I purchased five of them! The ambience of the place is magical and the jetted tub is heavenly. I love all the wind chimes and the cute patios and plants she has.

Always Inn is super charming, fabulously located, right in the heart of the San Clemente Village. Can't beat the location. Walking distance to many bars, restaurants, shops and the pier and beach (later for those who can walk hills). The breakfast was absolutely amazing! Eggs with choices of home-made sauces with various meats. The next morning was an omelette with gourmet fresh veggies.

United StatesHard to get into tub shower and high bed as we are the seasoned traveler (older). Typical beach town where parking is always difficult if you venture more than a couple of blocks.
Separate lockable room, all amenities of a hotel, on site parking. Many secluded areas on grounds for reading and or people watching. Full WIFI and cable. Your host, Frieda, is amazing. Breakfasts were home cooked and fantastic. Typical beach stay, nestled in center of town. Frieda can guide you to the great eateries and local hot spots. She "knows someone". Has a excellent knowledge of the area. Had dinner on the pier ,over the water, What a treat. Visited a small art fair, and went to the beach. Great weather. Had a great weekend staycation.
