Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

United StatesEverytime I have booked using booking.com it has been an easy experience, I prefer to pay in advance so I have everything budgeted. I was charged an extra 100 dollars at the time of arrival to book my room. That 100 was a nonsmoking fee, that was refunded after checkout. But it was not made clear at the time of booking, or at any point prior to me arriving at the hotel. I was not able to check in without paying that additional fee first. That felt shady, and I'm just glad that I had it to pay them. I cannot imagine what we would have done in a strange city if I didn't!!
The pool was a nice size. Open until 10p, which was nice as well. We stayed in the zacuzzi room, which was so nice to relax in.

Hotel appears recently renovated. Attractive lobby area with adjacent pool. Cheerful desk clerk. Room very clean. King bed comfortable. Breakfast choices good, clean room, and nice staff. Big Boy restaurant easy to get to for dinner. A little tricky getting back to I-75 North when leaving.
