Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

IsraelThere is NO air-conditioning in the room ! ONLY a fan in the ceiling ! During hot months some guests may NOT like it . The breakfast is poor. ONLY coffee, a Croissant 🥐 and a fruit. ( Banana/orange ). Can NOT be called breakfast. No dininig room for breakfast, no chairs to sit. NOT a single chair. You must take " breakfast" to your room if you want to sit. Just like during pandemic. ( Pandemic is over guys.........😊 )
Centrally locate. Few minutes walk from Union Square. In the lobby there is free coffee and tea 24/7. Reception was ok with outstanding help of receptionist called Alex.

United StatesStill good value although furniture and heating are old. Easier to fix are some disappointing changes to breakfast, namely no more fruit juice or fresh fruit, less choice in pastries, and not available on all floors. I would rather pay a little more for the room to cover those benefits.
Great location, historical building, and charm. The glass of wine from Fino, availability of teas in the lobby, and good front desk management remain as nice touches.

ItalyHowever, the hotel is housed in an old building, which gives the room a slightly old smell. The room is also not very spacious, and the bathroom is quite small, featuring a small sink with a table which could be a bit inconvenient. During our stay, we experienced some heating issues, with the room becoming unbearably hot on the third day. While it was not possible to control the temperature, we understand that this was due to the building's old infrastructure. Overall, the hotel has its charms, but guests should be aware that it is an older property with some limitations.
The hotel's staff is friendly and helpful, the location is convenient. Guests can enjoy complimentary hot tea, coffee, water refills, and a light breakfast.

CanadaThe free continental breakfast was on floors 3 and 6 and extremely limited and was completely gone on the first morning that the second morning of our stay i had to get up quite early just to get something. Bathrooms are tiny but very clean. Sit on the toilet and had the sink in my face literally. Made it super tight to even stand to pull up pants.I’m 5 ft 9” If opening the windows for fresh air at night you’ll hear lots of noises from either drunk or crazy people swearing and screaming things at all times of the night below. Sleeping was rough although bed very comfortable. It is a neat old hotel and don’t regret staying there at all.
Location was great. In the heart of where all the attractions are. Hilly city but walkable and lots of restaurants nearby.very clean hotel.

United StatesBreakfast was a little like the Hunger Games. When we arrived (at 12am after a long flight) we were told to be sure to get breakfast at 7am or it runs out…not a great way to start a vacation! No sleeping in if we wanted breakfast at the hotel. Breakfast included good coffee but small, grocery-store pastries and nothing else, not a banana in sight. I’d suggest either beefing up and being more generous with breakfast or stop advertising that it’s included and let guests relax and not battle over the slim pickings at 7am!
Comfortable bed and clean room, loved the vibe which was like a historic boarding house. Location was good and great food across the street and all around. Tiny bathroom in our room, but just big enough! We had everything we needed and would book again.

United StatesThe bathroom in my room 508 was extremely small while closet was huge. My husband was supposed to join me, he would have not been able to go to bathroom. I’m thin but tall and had a hard time showering and using toilet.
Everything was clean and neat. Although neighborhood has gotten a little sketchy over last few years. I felt fine. Fino is still great

BrazilThe internet connection must be improved. The signal is weak in the rooms, and there is no signal in the lobby. I think the hotel should implement their breakfast by offering a gluten free option or fruit.
The coffee (black coffee) was really good. The bed is very comfortable, and the staff always kind. It's great they offer tea and water in the lobby area.

Czech RepublicOn Monday, there was lot of noise from water pipes and other guests from 6 am, but with earplugs it was fine. The room we got #305 was pretty dark with 2 windows not getting much light.
Communication with the staff was good and timely. They helped us to find an oversized parking and gave us other good tips. Liked the old fashion style of the place. The elevator is super cool! Shower had strong water pressure. We appreciated the cosmetics and hair dryer in the bathroom. Good selection of pastries for breakfast but that was it.

AustraliaIt's a bit expensive for what you get
It's an old hotel but well maintained, rooms are a little on the small side ,you will need to use ear plugs if you are a light sleeper as it can be noisy at the rear of the hotel and their is some street noise ( especially emergency vehicle sirens) if you were to get a front street facing room. But you are central to everything.thier is a shady area not far from the hotel ( street people, homeless etc) we walked through this area a couple of times and had no problems, BUT I wouldn't go through there after dark.if you haven't seen this side of America then you should.
