It was a very enjoyable place to stay, and I hope to return.

On the warm spring days we visited the room got stuffy. I understand why the windows in our room were enclosed with plexiglass - they are vintage and may not be easy to open and close, and guests might be forgetful.

Our room was lovely and spacious; the outdoor and indoor spaces were wonderful to sit in; the staff were very helpful and friendly; the bar was fun, served delicious and inventive drinks, and shut down completely by 10:30 but was noisy til then. The location was perfect.

The location is near a busy intersection so traffic can be noisy at times. But that wouldn't keep me from booking again.

This was our second trip to the Argos Inn. We liked it so much we wanted to go back. It's near a busy intersection but only minutes from The Commons shopping and dining. The Cornell campus, Arboretum, and several gorges are within an easy drive, public transportation, extended walk, or hike if you like. The rooms and common areas are uniquely furnished and comfortable. The front sunroom is bright and airy with plenty of seating for couples or small groups. Snacks, fruit, great coffee and tea selections are complimentary. The full-service bar and front parlor have ample space and is often a lively focus during weekly musical events. The outdoor grounds provide space for formal and informal gatherings. The staff was most accommodating and made our stay comfortable and enjoyable! We will be back!

Sink is in the bedroom, not the bathroom, a bit quirky but not a dealbreaker.

Friendly staff, classy bar that closes early enough to help keep the rooms quiet. Near to downtown, walkable to Cornell. Coffee bar (Jura bean-to:cup) in the solarium is a nice space.

N/A - the only thing that would have made this a 10 would have been the inclusion of breakfast in the price.

Friendly and helpful staff, loved our room - great size and super comfortable. Great location, walking distance to Ithaca town. Lovely breakfast area with teas/coffees/water. Great bar area with a nice vibe in evenings and a good cocktail menu. Would stay again!

We were in the third floor. The stairs were difficult to navigate with and without luggage. We had a suite, and wished they had a sofa to spread out on in the sitting area. We were out all day hiking so it would have been nice to have more comfortable seating in the room other than the bed. After checking in, we found that the shower did not work. Ree, the evening manager, was wonderful. She upgraded us to a suite and helped us take our bags up. She was a delight.

It was like staying in old southern home. Warm and welcoming.

Just a couple of small suggestions: small bites, like fruit or croissants to accompany the morning coffee would make a big difference. The room could also use a small luggage rack or somewhere to place clothes.

This inn is a gem, clearly run by people who care rather than a faceless corporation. Unique touches, beautiful design, great location, friendly staff. The room was quiet and just gorgeous - we loved the fresh flowers, prints and rugs, and the nods to the historic nature of the building while still offering state of the art climate control, a multitude of streaming options and a very comfortable bed. Also appreciated all of the sustainable practices. The cocktail bar on the ground floor feels sumptuous and friendly at the same time- not an easy feat!
