Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

United StatesThe heat could of been left on. Middle of the winter and they didn't turn on the heat in the room. So it was indeed freezing in the room. After 2 hours with their heaters on it was pretty cold we had to ask for an additional space heater. (Also they had 2 heaters in the room a wall unit that was extremely loud) By the time we used the jacuzzi tub my feet were so cold they burned going in the water.. not the funniest way to spend your evening or money on. The room door wouldn't close with out really forcing it.
The room looked fairly nice. Like they made an effort to make it look more modern. The staff was friendly. The room was a bit spacious. Easy access from the road.

United StatesCheck out was at 11:00 but cleaning people were vacuuming loudly and talking loudly at 9:00 or earlier right outside our room when we were still trying to sleep because of a late night at a Concert. Rooms were not very soundproof and not that clean.
No breakfast left when we went down to eat.

United StatesWe had booked a nonsmoking room; there was a water leak in that room so we were moved to a smoking room. The manager said nobody had smoked in it recently but it still smelled a bit musty. The room needed some dusting. The water wasn't very hot in the mornings. People were coming in and out very early in the morning and slamming their doors which woke us up from time to time. This isn't the hotel's fault, but it was annoying.
The hotel is in a good location for antiquing and winery trips. It's not far from the Cities. Hastings has a lot of decent restaurants and a few tourist attractions. We got the king whirlpool room, which was a nice way to relax. The room has an electric fireplace, a large LED TV, and a couch.

United StatesOur door to get in would stick. Toilet seat when my fiance would use bathroom would not stay up so he had to hold it, ewww! We had to go down to ask for the larger towels for each night we showered & the 2nd night they only had one left...so we pretty much had to share our towel, eek lol
The cleaning staff did very good at keeping every corner clean in the room with the exception of a little dust.

United StatesConfusion about a second room we had previously canceled via booking.com. We were never charged for it, and owner was attentive to prove no charge, but we got an automated email as though it was a no-show check-in, probably due to using booking.com. End result no problem, no charge, just a booking.com tech issue.
Easy, friendly late check-in. Room was clean, bed comfortable, quiet, temp control good. Very satisfied.
