Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

United StatesThe pool is super small and there were so many kids in it that my little kids were hurt multiple times, we finally left after 30 minutes because it wasn’t safe. Also, the breakfast that was offered in the morning was terrible. The only cereal was Raisin Bran (my kids won’t eat that), the pre-made jimmy deans sandwiches were so hard you couldn’t bite into them, they didn’t have any fruit to offer but pears, again that is an issue with small children.

United StatesStaff don’t like 3rd party bookings, so we have issues every time we use Booking. Didn’t fully check us in because they said you hadn’t paid them yet. Staff came into our room with their own card while I was sleeping. Then they called my cell phone just before midnight and woke me up to say they didn’t have a room for us. I said we were already there. They had no idea! EVERY.SINGLE.TIME we stay there, our room cards only work one night. They ALWAYS have to redo them the second night. Breakfast wasn’t fully stocked the first day, and it wasn’t ready at all the second day (warm foods).
No carpet. Comfy beds.

United StatesWe paid through Booking.com, but the hotel also charged us inappropriately but the manager refused to credit the amount back to our card. So we called corporate and our credit card company to refuse payment of that incorrect charge. The very MEAN, HORRIBLE, and a few other bad names manager told me to call Booking.com. I tried, could not get through but she should have taken care of it since it was their mistake, not bookings, but she refused and then she hung up on me instead of correcting their mistake. When we checked in, whoever as at the desk confirmed we had already paid so it should not have been an issue but the HORRIBLE manager refused to provide proper customer service and take care of their mistake.

United StatesThe manager and crew were not the friendliest. A little customer service would be an added plus. We were there for a afternoon family wedding and there was a $30 charge to get in before 3pm. Seemed excessive for a Friday afternoon, as I doubt they were full the night before. The breakfast amounted to grab and go cereal bars, fruit, yogurt and a less than desirable Jimmy Dean breakfast biscuit.
It was new and clean with few extras.

United StatesThe tv did not working correctly. No pairing to get to Netflix or Amazon. TV’s need replacing or fixing. So no movies For the price is this place I expect everything in working order. I was supposed to get a refund of a few dollars but have not received it yet.

United StatesOur only complaint is there was no whole wheat bread for toast but we realize you have to limit things somewhere or your expense will be more.
We liked the lack of carpeting in the rooms, minimalistic approach to furnishings but everything we needed and everything was comfortable and quiet. The breakfast had nice choices.

The AVID Hotels are what I would consider a no frills hotel with all the basics that most travelers need to be comfortable. The rooms are extremely clean with comfortable beds and pillows. Nice TVs, plenty of USB outlets, clean bathrooms. Eco friendly with minimal waste and most things recyclable. Friendly staff, nice buffet breakfast with several choices.

United StatesA couple things. -We have to do work on our trips in the morning & the music in the lobby was so OBNOXIOUS & news on TVs we couldn’t stand it. Choose chill music! -We didn’t sleep well because the mini fridge popped & cracked loudly all night & we tried turning on the fan or ac & that was even louder like an airplane taking off. -Hand soap & conditioner not refilled in bedroom bathroom. -blood on sheet I would have rated this hotel a 10 if it wasn’t these couple things.
It was up to date, clean, visually appealing, organized.
