Very little to not like.

Room was very spacious and very quiet - surprising considering its proximity to the interstate. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The onsite restaurant served delicious spanish influenced food and drink and was a very friendly place for a lone traveller to eat.

The TV is pretty small and in a cabinet that doesn't pull out and the channels are limited. They don't provide a lot of the little things I just have come to expect when you pay a certain price, such as q-tips or a shower cap, anything besides basic soap. When I travel for work I have gotten out of the habit of bringing those items because they have been provided every where I have stayed the last 2 years. Also, others have mentioned the shower pressure and I would agree. It is very low pressure and just takes a little longer to wash anything of your hair. They are going through a remodel and some construction work so maybe that will be getting fixed. I had called ahead to ensure that I would not get a ground floor room ( I don't like that option when I am traveling solo) but when I arrived, sure enough, I had a ground floor room. They did switch it for me but seemed surprised that a female traveling by herself would not want that. After the response I got, I checked in with all my girlfriends who travel for work and they all agreed they would not feel comfortable with a ground floor room. The lady at the desk was nice about it and got my change approved by whoever was in the back, but it was odd to get so much pushback in the beginning.

The hotel reminds me of when we stayed in certain places in Italy. I thought from the pictures it would be too busy but really the rooms were lovely. I really need a microwave in my room and this hotel provides that. I also appreciate having a bathtub. The bed was comfortable enough for a hotel bed. The hotel itself has a nice lobby and common areas with 2 lovely fireplaces ( it was raining when I was there so very nice that they lit these). The staff was nice and the rooms were cleaned every day and felt very clean. My room overlooked the courtyard, which was pretty quiet considering they are located on a busier street.

I like the concept of the key card mechanism for electricity but it wasn't working. We could not charge our evening drinks & food from the bar to the room. Quite odd.

The desk clerk was friendly and gave an excellent recommendation for breakfast/lunch.

Room card didn’t always work with parking gate. First room we were assigned to had inadequate water pressure and temperature. We were quickly reassigned, with maintenance verifying the new room did not have the same problems. Recent work on the water system was no doubt the cause of problems in the first room.

While not current or brightly lit, it was spacious and comfortable.

Only thing was the shower water pressure was very weak.

No security safes in rooms. Rather apathetic receptionist when we checked in. Later when I asked about the security safe she was quite rude saying there were none and we could leave our valuables in their own safe then ask for access ! Never been to a hotel of this standard where this is the case.

Beautiful building in a great location and lovely big room with very comfortable bed.
