Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

United StatesIt said there would be breakfast went down at 7:30 door was still locked. Looked thru door and window and looked like they only had bananas, cereal bins were empty. Should say on website they do not have an elevator. The shower did not look very clean but it could of been the water, shower head looked like it was full of lime.
We were offered a smoking room. House keeping was super.

United StatesI woke up the next day and went to the store I can’t back and my room was half clean. they took all the blankets off the bed and the mattress was filthy dirty, blood stains and urine stains. My room door was left wide open and housekeeping was at lunch. Property management was in the process of changing furniture which was an inconvenience for me. my plan was to take a nap and get ready for wedding. couldn’t sleep. on the last night of my stay someone came back to their room slamming doors, screaming and crying at 4am.
when I first walked in, it appeared to be very clean. the room is nice, full-size fridge, microwave and stove top. love it. plus no carpet I love that also. Bathroom was beautiful.
