The TV was difficult to navigate in the living room. We might suggest that you dispense with the page-long instructions and simply provide an HDMI cable for easy hook-up to guest's laptop since most people have subscriptions to Netflix and the like. Only downside was the distance to explore the other side of the island, but you can't have everything. We truly enjoyed our time on The Big Island and learned a great deal about Hawaiian culture and history. That said, we likely will not return since we found the current Canada-US exchange rate, inflating travel expenses by almost 1.5x to be a budgeting challenge.

This is a conveniently-located space across the road from a nice little beach where you can swim, snorkel and surf. The bed and linens are comfortable, the bathrooms are clean, and the atmosphere is peaceful. Hosts were kind enough to leave Kona coffee and tea for us on the kitchen counter, which was truly appreciated since our flight landed at 11pm. TRAVELLERS*NOTE: Airport car rental agencies don't respond to telephone enquiries and centralized call centers don't know anything. You DO NOT need to pay for an airport shuttle in the middle of the night (when most flights arrive). Airport car rental agencies DO NOT CLOSE at 10:30pm, as advertised; they wait until late-night flights arrive from Canada and beyond. Free parking for this condo only a few steps from the front door is an added plus. The kitchen is well-stocked and there's a KTA Grocery store 5 minutes away. Really appreciated the filtered water and ice dispenser in the fridge. There was an abundant selection of beach towels, flutter boards, water shoes and compact coolers to borrow. Kona is reasonably clean and we never tired of evening walks in town, but you need a car to get there from this condo. Black Rock Pizza and On-the-Rocks are nearby restaurants with great food and prices. Kealakekua Bay and Two-Step Beach are two outstanding snorkeling locations only minutes away. We did a comparison of local equipment vendors and found Kona Honu (across town) to offer the best equipment (rent or buy) at reasonable prices.

Great location to travel to wetter and drier sides of island and fairly close to pretty beaches. Variety of food stores and restaurants nearby and condo very comfortable and had all the beach equipment we needed. Would stay here again.

Not applicable. However, would like to note that the washer unit will need to be either serviced (tub is making rattling noises while washing clothes) or replaced. This did not stop us from not enjoying our stay at the rental, but it made us nervous as we thought it might fail on us on the load..lol!

Easy access to a popular beach (VERY useful for lazy days when you just want to relax, but enjoy what the beach has to offer [snorkeling, swimming, sightseeing])! Rental unit have most of everything a family will need to enjoy the stay (ie cooler box, beach chairs, etc).

Loved everything!

Located across from best beach for snorkeling and surfing; great pool; had everything we needed for home and beach; lanai with view for meals and gathering. Needed more than a week, but managed to get in beach time, volcanoes, hike to gafe en sand beach, and attended a luau. Missed the eruption flow by 2 weeks! Owners were accommodating and communicated in a timely manner.

The location was perfect with a view of the ocean from the lanai. Enjoyed the lanai, private and peaceful.

our room was in the back, not a great view, but awesomely close to our car! Made the daily schlepping of beach stuff really easy, and the 1 block walk to the beach across the street was super convenient! Also appreciated all the goodies on the closet for beach and water fun!

We loved the location of the condo, perfectly located not to far from downtown. There is also a trolley that goes right by and can ride downtown The condo has a view of ocean to watch sunsets

There was everything we needed especially in the kitchen. It was an excellent location and very clean. It was very helpful to have beach towels and beach chairs for us to use. It was very convenient to have washer and dryer in the unit with detergent provided. We would definitely recommend and stay again. We travel every year and this was one of the best places we have ever stayed at.

This was our first trip to Hawaii. Enjoyed the Kona area. The Condo was well nice, clean & well equipped. Nice kitchen, with all the necessary items for cooking. The outside patio was a great place to eat breakfast. There were beach items for use (a plus) and just steps to the beach. Nice pool & hot tub on the property. The bedding was very nice/high quality. Great communication from the owner. Highly recommended staying here!

This unit had everything we could ask for! The location is perfect, right across the street from our favorite snorkeling spot on HI island. We would go back in a minute!

not beach front but about as close as you can get for just across the road

The kitchen was well-stocked for cooking. The beds and linens were luxurious! We bought the same Beautyrest mattress when we got home. Convenient location. Our unit was in the back but still had a nice view from the lanai and there was no noise from Ali'i Drive. Just a short drive to the market in a mall with restaurants. There's a fresh fish roadside lace to get excellent seafood.

The best thing we liked was the location. The condo was very comfortable and had many extras in the unit. We loved the pool and the beautiful setting. Enjoyed having meals on the lanai. Access to town and the rest of the big island was perfect.

Location was a convenient drive to main restaurants while still being far away enough to feel quiet. We loved the pool and hot tub! Our condo was very spacious and comfortable. We saw lots of fish snorkeling at the beach.

We booked this place to have access to a pool and were told a few days before trip that it would be closed for one of the days we were staying... It ended up being closed almost the whole time we were there. Clearly not the owner's fault, but still a bit of a bummer to not have after long days of adventure in the hot sun
