The building is a 1 star motel. I didn't realize that it would be such a dive on the outside. The area did not feel super-safe but it turned out to be ok for Berkeley which is pretty awful town.

The staff was accommodating with a last-minute change and somewhat helpful with suitcase storage and early access to the room. The room was a good size with new fridge and microwave. 2 Double beds.

The curtains were not thick enough to block out the light in the complex, and kind of falling off the curtain rods. The bathroom was not as clean as I would like liked.

Easy to get to and the cheapest option close to work. I checked in relatively late, and the staff was understanding.

Found hairs in my bed and in the towels. The room was not very clean overall. There was not enough parking so I had to park on the street. When I was checking out, a couple was screaming at each other in a domestic altercation. The female was claiming she did not want to leave with the man because he would hurt her again. There was also a ton of noise due to ongoing construction on the building. Construction workers working on a project began banging early in the morning.

I liked the fact that it had a mini fridge and a microwave.

The main issue was that the walls were very thin and the rooms seemed connected via vents. I had noisy neighbors whose loud conversation and sex I could hear in detail. Some neighbors also habitually smoked weed, which I could smell in my room. The other problem was that the wifi was somewhat intermittent - although I only noticed this when I tried to facetime on the wifi.

The family in charge of the property was nice and helpful. Extending my stay was no problem (although this might change dependent on the time of your visit) and they were courteous throughout my stay. Cleaning staff visited the room every day. The room itself was very clean - I had no complaints on this point. I thought the price was fair and did not feel like I had traded away an acceptable stay in return for saving money.

The bed was horrible. You can fell all the box springs. Expect to wale up with back pain. Luckily we brought our own pillows.

Very roughly used furnishing. Closed the currtain and the currtain fewll off. bumped into the A/c and the the entire houseing fell off of the front.

Friendly staff, let me check in an hour early which was great.The location is everything! Alot of great placves to get food in walking distance. Mt. Mikes a block away and a Liquor store a block away.

Kind of a dump. Rundown facility (torn curtains, nonfunctional fridge, small musty room, rickety table with one plastic chair, noisy bed springs).

Convenient location to other goals for this trip. Bathroom, while tiny, was spotless with apparently new fixtures. Great TV with Dish subscription.

This review has been hidden because it doesn't meet our guidelines.

Curtains were ripped and falling apart with a spider living in the grommet.. There was no clock. No telephone. Very run down old IKEA bedside table that looked like it came from the trash. Dirty folding table counter and two very old stained chairs. Nothing on the walls. Bathroom and floors had been renovated.

The manager on staff was kind and compassionate. Sheets seemed clean.

The very most the charge for this room should have been $40!!! Bed pillows comforter… not comfy The shower water pressure weak Towels were rough The curtains in all the rooms that I walked past were torn up!

The room was not very clean. The beds were super uncomfortable. There was hardly any parking. When we got back to the hotel the only spot available was between a terribly parked car that looked like it hadn’t been moved in a long time, and a pole. There was no way my car was going fit and there was no where safe nearby the park. Luckily someone was leaving just as we were trying to figure out what to do at 11:30 at night, so we got their spot. The guy who worked there didn’t have any helpful options for me. Around midnight as we were trying to go to sleep there was a couple fighting extremely loudly either under us or next to us. I was woken up by them fighting again at 2 am. All night the room smelled horribly like cigarette smoke and weed. In order to sleep, I just had to have the window, which has no screen, open all night.

The location was only about 10 mins from UC Berkeley which was nice. Everything we needed to was very close by.

Definitely not a frilly facility. If you are expecting a wealth of parking room, you'll be surprised. We walked and took transit everywhere, so if that's your game, you'll be just fine.

Great for a thrifty stay in the east bay area. Looks like it has been refurbished within the last five years. Close to a rental car center if you need one, and an easy walk to the nearby BART station.

There was hair in between the blankets and sheets in the bed. The floor was dirty and sticky. There was a layer of dust with hair on the sink and toilet. The bar lock was missing from the door. And the AC could not cool down the room. With no screen on the window.

I liked the price $100 and that there was free parking
