Not enough access to bars and restaurant

We loved the hotel, the room was beautiful and the staff was great. My only disappointment was that the restaurant was not open until the weekend. It would have been much more convenient for us to be able to dine in the hotel.

No refrigerator in the room. The outdoor pool was cloudy and seemed unclean.

Although things have been upgraded, some are starting to wear a bit and aren't 100% crisp/fresh. There were some worn spots in the room and some of the chairs and decor at the pool were looking tired. But, everything was clean and the friendly and attentive staff were great!

The updates to the hotel are nice and the atmosphere is welcoming and friendly. Very attentive staff and nicely sized rooms make for a pleasant stay.

no mini-fridge, no was cloths(!), one room wasn’t ready at 4pm check-in, very expensive parking, no corkscrew available at front desk - advised to buy one at gift shop! ($10), restaurant/bar closed before posted hours.

I booked Ocean front and got street view, due to a mix-up booking with website and staff would not accommodate me nor were empathetic to the matter :/ I have been here before and was extremely disappointed with them

The location is perfect. The hotel is very nice and our room on the top floor was beautiful. Very large, renovated, and very comfortable. Unfortunately the ice machine on our floor didn’t work and because we faced the air conditioning units it was very loud at night. You get access to the pool which is a great feature and free coffee in the morning. It’s gotten pricey over the years, but where else can you find beachfront property during the height of the summer? So for me it’s worth the price.

The room I booked said ocean view and cost a pretty penny, when we arrived I could see the ocean, albeit through three large buildings . The closet was broken , and the shower was barely big enough for a child . The resort stopped serving food around 10 pm and it was the 4th of July. The mattresses were uncomfortable, and I genuinely felt I’d been had at the price we paid for the room .

Mandatory valet parking at $45 a night!! Broken drains in tub and sink. Only food location is as closed when we arrived around 5!!!

The room I had rented had a beautiful ocean view. When I first arrived to the room I immediately went to pull up the blinds to find that there is no chain to do so. I called maintenance to come up and fix the issue and were told they would be right up. That night, no one had arrived so I went downstairs to guest services and asked again. I was told that they would send someone up and I waited but no one came. We also asked for a fresh pair of linens and did not receive those either. The staff at guest services were great and friendly other than that.

The room was very spacious and clean. The hotel is walking distance to the beach and boardwalk with exceptional views of the ocean. The hotel itself was immaculate and clean from walking in the front doors, the elevators and the room.

The room itself had some areas that were worn out (the windows facing street side are cloudy, the AC vents are rough, the carpet was looking pretty scuffed up), but it's an old building; we just call that character!

Berkeley Hotel location can't be beat; we love that it's directly across from the Boardwalk, near the Wonderbar, and all our favorite stuff. The common areas have been upgraded and look fantastic; love the art gallery, the music scene area, etc. Best hotel value for sure in all of Asbury Park, and we love it b/c of the pool for our 6-year-old, so it's family friendly while still having a fun vibe.

The key cards were hard to manage on operating the elevator and to also when opening our hotel room door. The first night of our two night stay the hotel room door jammed and we were locked out of our room. We had to wait a short time for maintenance to arrive to fix it. The valet parking was quite expensive $45 per night, and the paid street parking is comparably priced. Upon checking out there was no valet, so I had to get my car. I was not given a receipt for my stay when I checked out either. There was quite a step down from the bathtub to the floor in our room. Definitely a safety hazard.

Great location! Short walk to the Beach and Asbury Park Boardwalk. Room was adequate bed was very comfortable. Sorry to say that we did not get a chance to enjoy any of the other enmities of the hotel but what we saw looked well kept.

this was an extremely hot weekend and many more to come. they don’t have umbrellas for half the pool area!! which they did in past years. the ones available are really small and serve no purpose.
