Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Spacious clean accommodation, quiet neighbourhood, (apart from train whistles) easy access to downtown Nashville, free street parking, excellent coffee shop accross the street. Owners helpful in answering queries.

United StatesWe were worried at every turn we were going to get an additional charge for something. And parking was... Well, I'm not a fan of on street parking ,but that's a personal preference.
The place was in a residential area. It was a beautiful place, and it was amazing.

United StatesThere’s no negatives for this stay!
I love all of these suites at WeHo house! But by far #1 has been my favorite! It’s on the end, so it has its own little porch. The a/c unit is in the living room, so it’s not blowing in my face while I’m sleeping. There’s usually really good parking on the street right next to the building. There’s a lot of cool restaurants and bars in the area. There’s a really cute coffee shop across the street, but they’re only open while I’m at work.

AustraliaIt took over 30 minutes to walk down a busy road into city. Towels need upgrading. Outside security lights lit up the entire apartment. Noisy at times throughout the night. Sofa bed needs updating.
Close to suburban cafes and restaurants.

GermanyIt was like living in a tent. It was very loud, the apartment is next to a railroad, the trains honk all the time, your hear absolutely everything what’s going on outside. Directly in front of the entrance door hangs a very bright lamp that cannot be switched off, so it is also very bright in the apartment, the curtains have very little effect here. There is no proper heating only a very noisy air conditioner and a very bright electric heater. It is far too loud and too bright to sleep when one of the devices is switched on in the night, so it is lousy cold the next morning. I would never ever book it again.
It was very clean.

United StatesVery close to train lines; trains pass by in late evening and horn very loudly (seems like all before midnight). Sofa bed not the same as shown in the pic - from the brown leather sofa to a light grey fabric sofa - host said they are allowed to send furniture out for repair and maintenance, and replace with something equivalent. Sofa bed is not a straight forward pull-out; requires some kind of assembly: not comfortable - host said they have provided what was listed. Porch light is strong; at night when all the lights are shut indoor, the porch light beams in thru the door glass and really affect sleeping for the guests (see pictures taken from both the bedroom and living room AFTER we turned off all lights in the apt) - host said this is for security and the light can NOT be shut off; when we told him/her it really affects sleeping; the reply was the porch lighting is “out of listing” on Bookings so not an issue we could claim. There was a thin blanket and a fitted sheet for the sofa bed; we asked for flat sheet for hygiene reasons. The room was very cold at night; the AC/Heat unit was not effective and it blows airs two feet away from one’s head if you sleep in the sofa bed; very noisy - host said the cleaning lady is off on Sat, and there is nothing he could do; eventually on Day Three of our stay a flat sheet was provided; there was never additional blanket offered. Finally, with all of my communications with the host via Booking’s Message Center after our arrival on Friday night, the host referred my requests and concerns as a “harassment” to their young family and refused to answer. He/she repeatedly saying how the other guests had praised for their location service and value; how I have been a difficult customer. I am sorry for but all the issues occurred to me and my family happen during late evenings when we are about to sleep. The issues with your sofa, lack of bedding, beaming lights, ineffectiveness of AC unit… all happen together.
Free street parking around the house. A nice coffee shop steps away.

United StatesThe furniture, especially the table was a little beat up. The location was interesting. The train runs very close to the property, blowing it's whistle all night long. There is nothing handy about this location at all. We did order Uber Eats a couple of times so that we would not have to pay to go out again. There is nothing except a couple of bars within walking distance. The title of the property is pretty deceiving. We had kind of hoped for a coffee maker, although the property owner did state there is a french press. It was so small, it it would do one cup at a time, and for 3 of us that just took too long.
It was available. The shower was very nice. The place was clean.

New ZealandA couple of things made this property less than ideal for a group of four, two mature adult couples. The main one was the extra sofa bed in the living room. It was a bit awkward to put together and we had to find the bedding in a wardrobe space. The sheets were old and tired and the quilt smelt a bit musty. From this point of view the property would be ideal for one couple. A couple of things made sleeping not great - there was an outdoor light that couldn’t be turned off, making both the bedroom and living areas very light. Secondly, there is an active train line very close by.
The unit was very clean and tidy in a pleasant neighbourhood. We found it easy to get into town. Parking outside on the street was available at no cost, which was a bonus. Great communication with the host.
