I didn’t like the ‘no breakfast’ ‘no maid service’ policy… I just wish they would be up front enough to say ‘we are saving money’ instead of blaming COVID… in view of where we are with the pandemic…it’s time to turn the page! I’m just saying…

Although the hotel had no control, there were dogs next door that barked for hours at night, making it difficult to sleep. Staff could have been more friendly. Steep, narrow stairs to the second floor with no elevator for hauling luggage.

THE ROOM WAS SPACIOUS AND CLEAN WITH PLENTY OF DRAWER AND CLOSET SPACE. Beds were comfortable. Extra fleece blanket provided. Although we didn't use it, the pool and hot tub looked good and seemed to get a lot of use.

Better conditions for fridge/AC and a little facelift for the dated room

Excellent customer support from Jim. The mini fridge didn't seem to get cold. He came by to look and explained that these kinds of fridge do take sometimes to cool (not cold). But he was so kind to bring us an extra fridge. The A/C was above the vanity so air was blowing up to the ceiling and didn't seem to cool down the room that much. (We had a room that got afternoon sun and was there at the hottest part of the month). Jim also volunteered to monitor our room temperature so it doesn't shut down when we leave the room. Without Jim, this lodging would have gotten a much lower rating. Expensive for a basic, motel type lodging. But this is Ojai, so we can't do much about that.

When I found out that others in my group who booked directly with Casa Ojai had bottom-floor rooms with patios and paid less than I did, I was very upset with Priceline/Booking.com. If I ever book another room ANYWHERE, I will always check directly with the hotel.

Wish I had been on lower level, had to haul my bags myself to my room. No elevator.

No microwave but it is not necessary because we eat out and ordered to go food during our stay, but I would think the bigger room with kitchen do have microwave. I just need to reheat my coffee that I bought but it’s not a big deal.

I was hesitant to book at he beginning, but to our surprise, the inn is clean, comfortable bed, perfect location. We had one queen bed room because i waited till the end to booked, but the room is just enough to accommodate 4 of us (+ 2 fur babies). I did not smell any bad even at the patio considering it’s pet friendly and I am very picky when it comes to sense of smell.Thank you for keeping it clean, definitely we will book again for our next trip.

The bathroom decor isn't updated, but this was not a major issue. (The shower was still great :) One of the room light switches didn't work properly, but I was only there for one night, so I didn't even bother addressing this. There were plenty of lamps anyway. Since breakfast is not included, perhaps they could provide some more free snacks to customers - granola bars, yogurts, etc.

I LOVED my stay at Casa Ojai. The location is beautiful. It is 5 mins drive / 20 mins walk from the center of town. The pool hot/tub is quiet, clean and fun. There are some comfy deck chairs. The rooms are spacious and have nice outdoor sitting areas. The staff was super friendly and helpful. BEST is the free bike rental - my favorite part of my trip was cycling around town early in the morning. It was really special. I didn't want to leave! Nice snacks and free water bottles included in room. Free coffee, tea, and hot cocoa.

The price seems a bit high for the room but probably not for the area.

The availability of the pool and hot tub is very nice. The staff was very very helpful and friendly. The room was nice and clean.

There was no elevator, and it was tough for us to carry our bags up the flight of stairs. Otherwise, everything was fine.

Casa Ojai Inn is conveniently located a short drive (or long walk) from the center of town. It has a nice little swimming pool and offers free use of bicycles. The room was clean and comfortable.
